I'm working on Demon Tuning becoming a supplier for HID kits in the near future.

I would offer them to forum members for a good price of course.

I'll keep you posted. ;\)

Got mine from Turborevs. OK service, excellent product. Cost £145 per set so not the cheapest sets around but worth it to me.

Re: HID's - 21/07/2007 19:06

Stay away from the five in one as some people have had trouble fitting them in the light surround!

Re: HID's - 22/07/2007 01:26

That sounds about right, just be carefull not to let the LED buld drop into the light unit! I did this and had to remove the fixture and use my pinky to get the bulb back out! Looks good with the HIDs! \:\)

Re: HID's - 23/07/2007 16:00

Where abouts are the ballasts mounted when you fit two, ie on for the dip and the other for main beam!?

Cheers,

Re: HID's - 03/08/2007 23:44

well pleased with them though, especially as i managed to fit them myself without breaking anything! \:P

Re: HID's - 08/08/2007 00:47

Can anyone let me know a good way of attaching the HIDs without drilling i.e non-permanant?

The sticky pads are good until you move the car!

Re: HID's - 08/08/2007 01:35

you shouldnt need to drill anything, have you tried fitting the ballasts to the existing headlight screws?
i popped mine between the bonnet and the lining temporarily before fixing them in

http://www.fiatcoupeclub.org/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=185609&page=1#Post185609

That guide recommends drilling but the new sets on the group buy have a different mounting bracket.

Can't find a way to fit them with the existing headlight bolts it's starting to annoy me everytime I open the bonnet to find one hanging by its wires!

The one on the induction side of the engine bay fits nicely into the side of my bonnet and wedges perfectly, I can't do this the other side though as it hits the washer bottle.

Any ideas?

Re: HID's - 15/08/2007 07:00

Ok... The first thing i asked in the forum was about HIDs... I was really curious to see how did they looked on the Coupe... So, I bought a brand that was considered the best in here in Brazil (brand name is K2)... it costed me about 1000 dollars (we have some weird prices here...)... the problem was that after a while the beam became a bit yellow (i was using 8000k, really blue)... so I changed for a cheap chinese kit (BAMBOO KIT!) 8000k also), and surprising, it's working much better than my first kit...
here are some pics...

*on the installation, we drilled on the side of the bonnet, i'll take some pics tomorrow
