Just made my first change

Just made my first change - 04/12/2007 20:38

Having seen some centre consoles that matched the coupe colour, I decided that I would change my centre console. I bought a silver centre console from a forum member and repaired 8(!) of the screw bosses with some stuff called Pattex.
Then I went from this

to this

in 45 minutes

I am now going to remove the rubber stuff and then decide whether to paint the original centre console Sprint Blue or Piano Black!

Looks nice and just like mine \:D

If you change it, I think black would look better than blue. There's already a lot of blue in the car and the black, done nicely, will break it up a bit \:\)

To repair the bosses I bought some stuff called Pattex, its a bit like Plastic Padding. Then I moulded it around what was left of the bosses and when it had gone off a bit I screwed the screws in. Then I left it for 24 hours and then I fitted it. The fitting took 45 mins from taking the old one out, swapping the bits and then putting the new one back. I left the air vents out to fit the centre console and then put them back in when the console was fitted. This made fitting the centre console much easier.
Does anyone know what the black round plug is that goes into the radio cassette? Mine is a bit broken but everything still works!
No probs when I have fitted the original one Silver Fox.
