List of Wheels - 10/03/2006 00:26
As the name suggests. Just thought it would be nice if we could have a list of all after market wheels that will defiantly fit the Fiat Coupe 20VT.
What would be nice is if you could have the pcd of 98 standard fit along with size of wheel along with offset and the clearance from the Brembo`s. Any problems you`ve had etc.
Then have the after market pcd's of 100 with the same criteria above please.
Oh pictures would be fantastic if you have them
Reason I`ve asked this is because I`ve had so much trouble just finding ones that fit my car
cheers everyone

im in the same boat as u
ive spent nearly 5 days on the net / phone looking for straight swap no spacers or wobbly bolts wheels in 17", i even visited 3 diffrent wheels companys for a trial and error trying to find a wheel but no luck as yet, after talking to roger today at powerfiat (
top man with knowledge and free advice
) he's convinced me to go for 18" azevs, im so stressed from looking and getting conflicting info from all the people ive spoken to i may just go for the azev C's.

Perfect fit.
4x98pcd, clears the Brembos with more room than the oe alloys.
18" Dare V5's
Picture of the wheel:

Circolo what is the offset or ET on the Dares? Looking very nice I want to upgrade to 18's.
BTW Graham your in for a hard time unless you get wheels made up like the Azev's. I was told my 17 x 7.5 with 30ET AWS Racing would fit with no spacers or wobblys but when they came they where a couple of mm out and wouldn't clear the Brembos so had to get spacers. Hub Centric spacers are fine its the wobblys that Im not so keen on.

Re: List of Wheels - 10/03/2006 10:38
17 inch Dare V1's.
PCD 4 by 100 (so wobbly bolts required)
ET 20
Clear Brembo's by a mile and no spacers needed.
Nice looking wheel, not too boy racer and suit Coupe nicely
Also spent days searching and Dare were the only company that actually got back to me with sensible and knowledgeable answers. Good on them!

Not 100% sure on the offset. I think he quoted et29 - pushing them out further than the standard by about 1cm. That said, they look slightly less pushed out than I'd expected.
I ordered these from these guys , I contacted them by phone, and spoke to someone who seemed to know the Coupe 20vt wheel fitting problems - and he recommended Dare V5's saying they were a perfect fit - which they were.
No spacers, no wobbly bolts, no rubbing.

I looked at the V1's too. But the guy at topgear (see above) said these weren't such a good fit. And they come only as 17" max wheel diameter.

Re: List of Wheels - 10/03/2006 13:57
The V1 are not such a perfect fit as the V5 because the V5 are 4 by 98 so no wobble bolts needed. No spacers should be needed for either wheel. Like many others I would have preferred straight fit but there is nothing wrong with wobble bolts and I wanted the V1.
Its all a matter of taste - I prefer V1 to V5 since they 'suit' the coupe and I did not want an OTT look hence 17's were perfect for me.
Google search for Dare Motorsport if you want to talk to them directly - they are good guys.

Exactly my point. I`ve had same trouble as bambam. Get one company say no problem then another saying they wont fit.
That is why I thought i`d do this thread. I was hoping it will end up like the show us your motors thread or show us your rears thread, but so far only have one wheel that fits perfectly, and that`s an 18"

Go to
this place. Select alloys from the menu, then choose your car, model date etc.
Select all brands.
There are 5 pages of full of wheels that apparently will fit.
From my experience with computer databases though, I would still confirm fitment with a human at the place before placing an order.

This is the problem. I have contacted that company and with all the wheels listed only two of them they can confirm fits. They suggest you go and have the ones you like test fitted.
What most of these places are forgetting is the size of the brembos.
Quite a few forum members have ordered wheels after being told they will fit only to find they don`t clear the brembo`s.
The only way we can be absolutely 100% sure is from fellow forum members

Avez A and E wheels fit as a direct fitment, 4 x 98pcd and correct offset with no fouling on the calipers. You can only get them via DT motorsport and are not cheap either, also a bit of a wait for them too

18" Azev C
18" Azev E
18" Dare V5
PCD 100 Wobbly bolts required 17" Dare V1
18" Wolfrace Urban Racers
18" TSW Ribs
PCD 100 Wobbly bolts and spacers 18" Kosei Titanium Racers
I must state that all these wheels I am listing are collectively from Forum members. I am purely doing this as a guide for fellow forum members.

Well i know The M fits as an 18" as done by Big Lad. The C fits as an 18" as a couple of members have done it on here (James Richardson springs to mind) and the Avez A is 17" as Kevin has them and the Avez E is 18" and Taz has them fitted
You also have the wolfrace urban racer in 18" which clears the calipers but requires wobble bolts for the 4 x 100pcd

Well ill add my tuppence worth - Im running 18" TSW Ribs, 4x100 PCD, no spacers and they clear the Brembos without fault
Nice anthracite colour means i can get away without washing them for a bit too....
http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b173/Maxxxer/Photo0032.jpg
I am fairly sure that the OZ Supperleggeras fit the 20VT without any mods. Also, Marshy (I think) had the OZ Chrono Evolutions on his. Both of those wheels are very light.
I beleive that the OZ Records fit the Turbo too - I was told that they did when I had them fitted on my NA
Posted By: Begbie
Re: List of Wheels - 10/03/2006 23:37
Oz Superleggera's dont fit the 20vt. They are 4 x 100pcd and you need at least 6.5mm spacer or above to clear the calipers.
Cant really comment on the OZ Chrono's as they were fitted to a 16vt which doesn't suffer caliper clearance

Re: List of Wheels - 11/03/2006 02:24
Begbie, do you know if the Compomotive MOs fit over the 20VT calipers in 17s? I seem to recall that they are lighter than standard alloys, which could be advantageous for reducing unsprung weight

Team Dynamics Pro Race 1 fit without spacers or wobble bolts, 7x17in, 17.6lbs

Don't the Superleggera come in 4x98? My OZ Records were a 4x98 fit (at least as far as I know
- Keith @ Auto-Integrale fitted them for me)
For the weights (but not fitment) check this site:

Re: List of Wheels - 15/03/2006 21:37
It's doing a lot better than my thread "List of Tyres." I am so surprised that so many people have so little to say on two really useful topics.
Considering most user's preoccupation with post counts, I thought these two topics would have gone double platinum with the amount of posts.
The replies that say "I
think ..... will fit" or the, "I don't know about that, but blah blah...... etc etc" are particularly useless. I'm not going to shell out the best part of a grand or more on a wheel/tyre combination unless I am 100% certain of the fitment.
I don't want to travel all around the country to try rims on, or take the advice of a fitter from the local job centre over the phone just to turn up at their outlet or mail order them and be angrily disappointed.
I thought we were all trying to build up some kind of knowledge database for the benefit of existing and potential members - perhaps I'm wrong, I hope so.

And I didn't even mention post hijacking!

I contacted Azev in Germany and got this reply about what wheels will fit a 20VT with 98 pcd.
Type Azev A/C/U/AS/LS 8 x 17
Type Azev C/E/M/U/AS/FS/LS 8,5 x 18
Thats is the reply I got.
The German forum has pics of a number of wheels on the Coupe. However, you would need to translate the info to see what they had done to get them to fit.

Is an 8.5 X 18 ok to use on the coupe, I would have thought it was a little wide, especially as you'd need a wide tyre to strech over the rim ?
You really dont want to go too wide a tyre on the coupe or it starts to suffer from tramlining and wandering.

Well depends on what size you asked for, as I can read from the catalog i received with the wheels, the 7x17" model is identical to the ProRace 1, which fits straight...There was one other model identical but cant remember...If you were looking for other sizes then they wont fit straight i guess

I just checked the online catalog from the german site:
"verwendungsbereich 7,0x17 und 8,0x17 identisch mit PRO RACE 1 in Zuordnungsliste" which translates to
"operating range 7,0x17 and 8,0x17 identically to PRO RACE 1 in zuordnungsliste"
No i wonder what is that last word
I guess is the application list, like if it says the coupe can fit pro race 1 7,0x17 then can fit these ones...

I have been trying to buy the same wheels (pro-race 1 or 1.2 anthracite if possible) for a few months, but no outlet will order them for me, it is either no stock or they won't fit 20vt
. Where did you buy yours from

When buying Azev wheels, they machine the wheels to fit specifically to the car, so if you order them for a 20VT, they will come as pcd 4x98 and in the correct offset, whatever that might be.

Re: List of Wheels - 17/03/2006 18:34
I orderd them from the german dealer, the price was much cheaper than denmark at least...I was at first interested in pro race 1, but he told me is discontinued...I bought the standard color as in that picture, wasnt so sure how would the anthracite look but i guess woule be very nice with some coupe colors(mine is a black LE).
Dunno about the ET25, i know it came along with TUV papers certified for the coupe 20vt, using 210/40/17 wheels...Pictures will come later, as soon as the snow and salt is awy from our roads!!

davidC, they look the same as the alloys on my car, which are hp racing (or sold as motion alloys). They do not fit the 20vt without spacers, min 5mm. Also the shop that sold them has not had stock for 6 months now
hope i never twang one badly...

I cant remember the tyre size off the top of my head, the car is at auto integrale at the moment, I wont be getting it back for a couple of weeks but as soon as I do I will let you know. As far as I know, there was no arch mods required.

Re: List of Wheels - 10/05/2006 06:30
I don't know about you there, but in my country the 18" tyres are 2x more expensive than 17"s!!!
Just as reference:
4 x Eagle gsd3 F1 215/40x17 = 700
4 x Eagle gsd3 F1 215/35x18 = 1300!!!
How so many of you go to 18" wheels??? it's just a matter of looks because IMO the 17"s are even more confortable and I don't think that performance will be so much different between the 2

I must state that all these wheels I am listing are collectively from Forum members. I am purely doing this as a guide for fellow forum members.
I therefore can not be held responsible for any wrong info.
One of our members here has the Oxigin Toxics, and they are apparently a straight fit on a 16vt. They may need spacers for the 20vt however

There are inumerous mates searching for aftermarket wheels on the forum.
I think is just a matter of a forum moderator evaluate the importance of this topic though.
Posted By: Anonymous
Re: List of Wheels - 08/06/2006 13:51
I agree - making this sticky would be excellent. I remember how hard it was to find the right wheels for my 20vt, and only some extensive searching, calling and visting different wheel and tyre places was I able to go for the ones I have now (Dare v5's).
Making this sticky, would help a lot of people, and hopefully reduce the number of "which wheels will fit my Coupe?" type questions.

Re: List of Wheels - 09/06/2006 05:07
Ok so PCD should be 98, but what is the actual correct offset?
Also what size tyres are people running on 17s / 18s?
Posted By: Anonymous
Re: List of Wheels - 09/06/2006 07:15
The correct offset depends on spoke wheels design but nevertheless it has to be low.
Somewhat near 30. Best if it's lower because it will provide more space to clear the brembos.
The correct size tyre in a 17" wheel will be 205/45 (this giving a marginaly wider gear final ratio - the speedo will read more speed than actualy's running)
Or the 215/40 (this giving a marginaly tighter gear final ratio - the speedo will read a little less speed than actualy's running)
Of course any speedo has it's own margin of error. The coops are somewhat near 10km/h thus reading 260 when you are really running at 250kms/h)

Your coupe is a 16v mate. You don't have any problems with clearance, hence the reason I've only been listing for 20VT's
We've had so many new members ask about wheels for the Coupe 20VT because of the Brembo clearance. Thats why I decided to start this thread

H&R do a 4x98 to 5x130 hub convertor.
I have some Porsche Cup 2 wheels on my old school VW Super Beetle cabrio
(also has Porsche 944 brakes!!)
All Porsche 911/944/968 front wheels will be the right offset more or less - they are ET53 or ET55 as standard and the usual convertors are 25mm AFAIK.

Re: List of Wheels - 06/10/2006 21:48
You can get the Porsche carrera Cup III alloy(the ones you're looking at) replicas in 5x100 - you sometimes see them on golfs and new shape beetles. Not a very good replica though. 5x100 still means you'd need the Alfa hub conversion which is not cheap either.
I think Eibach also do adapters I believe. You can sometimes pick up the adapters from german ebay for a lot less as well.
The adapters bolt into the hub, and then the wheel bolts into the adapter so they are reasonably safe.

Most porsche wheels are about a 52ET, & 8/8.5" rim width
As you'll be converting from 4x98 to 5x130 if you them select the spacer/adaptor size right you'll fill the arches nicely and most importantly should clear the calipers with no issues.
Some of the corrado lads fit porsche rims as an option to clear the brembos they fit off the seat cupra r

Re: List of Wheels - 25/01/2007 01:54
There was a set of Mille Miglia Action 17 in wheels for sale on ebay but they were sold before I bought my new coupe. The new owner confirms they fit without spacers on the front. The ET is 35 mm. I've tried loads of wheel suppliers (ones that have ET 35's) and all say have nothing to fit the 20VT. This getting a joke. I take it there is no guarentee that ET 35's will fit without spacers as I assume it will depend on the curvature of the spokes. Is this correct and with ET 35 or less is it a cert. they will fit.
Posted By: paddy
Re: List of Wheels - 25/01/2007 03:05
No, its not a cert - it depends on the design of the wheel. Its more likly a certain design will fit without spacers if the et is a lower number, but not a dead cert.
Posted By: Anonymous
Re: List of Wheels - 25/01/2007 05:39
could be because they aint got many 4x98mm pcd wheels and they also aint willing to guarantee they will fit over the 20vt bremvos so are playing it safe
Posted By: Jimbo
Re: List of Wheels - 25/01/2007 18:46
You can get 4x100 wheels re-pitched to the 4x98, costs about a tenner per wheel.
Posted By: Anonymous
Re: List of Wheels - 25/01/2007 23:40
So how is re-pitching the wheel done, I know it's only 1mm but!.Is it a better option than fitting wobbly bolts, there isn't much cost difference.
The wheel companies tried are mainly mail order so I can understand their reluctance to say they will fit. Problem is even the wheel manufactures web sites give little information, especially regarding the ET.
Posted By: Jimbo
Re: List of Wheels - 26/01/2007 01:19
The basically re-drill and counter sink the wheel bolt holes to give the correct spacing, its such a slight difference from 4x100 to 4x98 that you can hardly see it.
I think it may be a safer option than wobble bolts as your running a propper full sized bolt.

In fact I was to my shop and the buyer give a call to Binno Distributor.
In the catalog that my shop have there are only 3 models of Binno wheels and the distributor confirm that the B930 fit on the Coupe T20.
I was interesting by the b930 but after I gave a look to Binno site I think the others models fit too. I will go to my shop with the different models I've found and will ask him to call again the distributor.
I will keep you informed

Re: List of Wheels - 29/01/2007 04:33
No problem. I was just curious as a lot of wheels it's difficult to know if they will actually fit without trying them on the car.
While the numbers for the wheel might be correct, that's not always the end of the story.

MattB> My shop confirm that the B930 are real 4x98 7,5x17" ET30. I can not confirm for the other because they are not sold in France. I will buy them this week if I can have the "Hyper Silver" ("HP") finition.
But I really think that the list I gave to you is good. I have written a mail to Binno compagny for their confirmation. For the moment I don't have any answer.
If the wheels are good for the Coupé I will be great because there is choice and they are very cheap

Re: List of Wheels - 30/01/2007 17:41
The Binno S4600 looks superb.
But 3 problems:
1. Although it will fit the 4x98 PCD and probably have the correct offset, I wonder whether it's actually been tested to fit over the Brembos' on the 20vt...
2.Importing wheels from Spain is surely going to be ĢĢĢĢ's
...
3. They appear to only go up to 17" size. So for us "used to 18 inches folk" that's no use...
Ah well. The search continues for a clean 6 spoke with the hub nuts covered.

Re: List of Wheels - 01/02/2007 02:46
Best wheel style for the Coupe?
Maybe a stupid question but! 4 bolts and odd numbers of spokes, expecially 5, can look naff to me because of the asymmetry of the drillings. These could look ok on wheels with a deep dished hub centre. What about multispoke say 9 or more? What about those that have centre covers so as not show the wheel bolts? Are the covers just plastic and fine till they break when prising them off, or are my thoughts here non-founded. I don't like multifit types with masses of holes, think that may be what I have now or the other holes may just be dummy ones. Given the PCD, ET and even then they may not fit, any comments?

However the wheels on a 20vt were designed to fit over the calipers, you still may need spacers to get these wheels to fit !
I've been there and done this already, it took me 3 trips to the wheel shop before we got the right sized spacer to fit my alloys on.
Worth it in the end though.

Re: List of Wheels - 15/02/2007 05:42
You can get 4x100 wheels re-pitched to the 4x98, costs about a tenner per wheel.
Is there a national company who can do this?
Posted By: Anonymous
Re: List of Wheels - 16/02/2007 13:12
please tell me the wheelcompany that actually make wheels with tolereances so small. one milimeter per hole is just so little. Then you have the tolerance on the hole itself (roundness). I've used 4x100 on 4x98 with normal skrews and never ever ever cracked a skrew or ever heard of anyone done this.
one milimeter is so small that it doesn't matter.
So re-pitche your 4x100 to 4x98 is just a waste of money and time.

Re: List of Wheels - 16/02/2007 20:06
realy, imo 1 mm is a hell of a lot of difference when it comes to thread angle, and size etc, cross thread springs to mind immediately

You can tell you're not an engineer! 1mm is a hell of lot! I've no doubt that you'd be able to fit 100mm pitched wheels on 98mm pitch hole pattern but you'd be introducing a lot of stress into the wheels and bolts.
You can bet the tolerance used when drilling the wheels or hubs is more like +/- 0.1mm.

The bloke that had my coop before me said that
.
4 new hubs 16 new wheel bolts and I had to get the alloys re drilled so the bolt hols was round again . Lucky rog had a silver coop braking at the time so I got some of the hubs off that .

Re: List of Wheels - 19/02/2007 03:23
So really no one knows exactly how much the tolerance can vary... Well I do agree that it should be +/-0.1mm. But we dont know, do we? Talkt to my mate who is an active streetracer who drives with 4x100...no problem there. My opinion is with wobbly bolts you're on the safe side and don't need to worry about the wheels comming of.

Re: List of Wheels - 19/02/2007 21:14
Exactly, wobbly bolts is a completely different affair.
Std. bolts will actually bend
in a 100x4 wheel. Talk about stress. They may last a while but no doubt a bad thing.

Re: List of Wheels - 22/02/2007 23:25
Great thread, been paying mucho attention as I'm not keen on the huge arch gaps around the standard wheels. But whilst there are loads of examples of 17" or 18" wheels, there is very little mention of the actual tyre sizes fitted to them. Can you ladies and gents supply this info. too?
To keep the rolling radius the same you should get smaller sidewalled tyres, but this doesn't address the arch gap. So, are you custom lot rolling around with speedos reading too fast or too slow now? (but with nicely filled wheelarches).
A spot of cyberskiving the other day led me to this interesting link to calculate tyre sizes for different size rims.

Re: List of Wheels - 15/03/2007 19:16
I've just spent a while ploughing through this entire thread and from reading some of the comments I'm not entirely sure that some people are very clear about the whole business of offset.
At the risk of teaching those who do know about these things how to suck eggs here goes....
'offset' is the distance in mm between the mounting face of the wheel and the plane through the centre of the wheel. It has no bearing at all on whether your Brembos will fit behind any given type of wheel design. The only thing the offset will change is the track - reducing the offset effectively moves the tyres outwards increasing the track and vice versa - this is obviously going to have an influence on handling and could result in tyres rubbing somewhere if taken to extremes.
By fitting spacers to clear the Brembos you are effectively moving the mounting face closer to the centre plane and are thereby reducing the effective offset of the wheel. What this means is that you have to bear in mind the net result of offset and spacer width if you want to maintain the same track.
Example calc.
Assume std offset = 35mm
Your chosen wheel design requires a 5mm spacer to clear the Brembos.
So, you need to buy an ET40 fitment to retain the same track.
Similarly if you have already bought ET25 wheels and find you have to fit a 10mm spacer then you effectively have ET15 wheels which means you will increase your overall track by 40mm - flared wheelarch time

Re: List of Wheels - 15/03/2007 23:17

Worth it in the end though. I really liked the look of your wheels Jimbo :P... sooooo.. I went to the Lenso wheels website
http://www.lensowheels.co.uk Apparently, they produce wheels with the correct offset and as I don't have huge brembo callipers, direct fit for me.. and spacers for all you 20vt boys and girls...
btw... I like these

Definitive answers to these questions, if you know, please
Good thread but most of the wheels listed are no longer available and ones like the AZEV's are outside my budget.
Here is what I know, PCD 98 but can fit 100 with wobbly bolts
Here is what I am unsure of. Opinions vary as to the ET of the stock wheels some say 35 others 40
I also read that the spoke design is critical to clearing the brembos, even with an ET 35/40
So does that mean a safe bet would be ET 20/25 accepting that would increase? the track.
I would prefer a solution without spacers
What about the centre boss size, is this fairly universal

Re: List of Wheels - 23/03/2007 03:33

Re: List of Wheels - 07/06/2007 20:57
Hi custard
I just bought a set of OZ Records from
http://www.raceandroad.com, they are extremely helpful, talk to a chap named Byron.
My wheels were Ģ550 including spacers, which is handy as i was thinking of getting some to increase the track.
Many of the OZ wheels will fit the coupe with 20mm spacers.

Re: List of Wheels - 07/06/2007 21:08
Akeme - did you manage to get 4x98's? Also are the spacers like the H&R Hubcentric ones with lips?
Posted By: Anonymous
Re: List of Wheels - 07/06/2007 21:13
No, wobbly bolts for me but i dont mind too much, i have had them on a few cars now and they seem fine, touch wood!
There are alot of OZ wheels with PCD 4x98 though, i think they have just brought a multi spoke which is a direct fit.
I was going to get some comp mos as begbie recommended but the wait time for delivery was over a month
plus they are very strong but are also very heavy in comparison to OZ's.
The Titanium Ultra Leggera is the wheel to get if cost does not matter, they only weight 6kgs each!

Re: List of Wheels - 07/06/2007 21:30
O.Z Racing Goto the application list and it tells you the wheels that can fit the coupe from the OZ range, most would probably need spacers mind.
Thanks Akeme
i`l try them tomorrow.
Does any one actualy have Dare V2s on the coupe 20vt??????

Compomotive will make you a set of wheels for your car if your car is not listed, but at a price of course.
I got them to make me 8 of these lightweight MO 5 spokes (8 x 16,s) for my Alfa.

I love the look of these wheels, but I was told from the horse's mouth that you can't make V2's fit a coop. Boohoo!

I'm looking for a direct fit 4x98 pcd 17" set of wheels, either 7.5 or 8 width, that doesn't make me look like King Chav: any ideas?
The Dare V5s fit the 20vt no problem, and look great. Which version of the coop do you have?
Posted By: Anonymous
Re: List of Wheels - 04/07/2007 12:09
It's a 20V turbo: somebody at Dare said the V2's are a definite no-no, and that the V5 in 18" will fit but I don't want to go for the rubber-band tyre look, and a 235/40 on a 17" rim is very close to 205/50 on a 16

I have been categorically assured by the manufacturers that Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 will fit my coop 20vt in a 8x17 size, taking 235/40 tyres. They say they have fitted them in this size to a coop recently; is that anybody on here????

The only wheels we are able to source that we know will clear the calipers are as follows:
Team Dynamics Drifz 17"
Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 17"
Team Dynamics Monza R 17"
I hope this is of interest to you, however, should you require any further information, please don't hesitate to contact our Mail Order department on 01274 805350.

I have MAK Cruisers on my car. ET35, 18'', 4x100 pcd, requires wobbly bolts. They clear the brembos by 0,5-1mm
no spacers needed but may fit 2-3-4mm spacers, up to you
the list needs a little updating Graham

Re: List of Wheels - 17/11/2007 18:57
As the name suggests. Just thought it would be nice if we could have a list of all after market wheels that will defiantly fit the Fiat Coupe 20VT.
What would be nice is if you could have the pcd of 98 standard fit along with size of wheel along with offset and the clearance from the Brembo`s. Any problems you`ve had etc.
Then have the after market pcd's of 100 with the same criteria above please.
Oh pictures would be fantastic if you have them
Reason I`ve asked this is because I`ve had so much trouble just finding ones that fit my car
cheers everyone
Shabba, this thread is
only entitled, "List of Wheels". Graham asks for definate fitment, not direct fitment,
Where does it say direct fitment?.
With 10mm spacers the Fondmetals are a direct fit. Graham asked for the problems you had when trying to fit wheels. I had a problem fitting the Fondmetals that 10mm spacers fixed. Just trying to give more input...

Re: List of Wheels - 07/01/2008 16:53
Hello everyone, please dont shoot me for saying this
even though everyone says about the avez fit straight off, not everyone likes them (i dont personally) even though some of your cars that have got them do look nice, if we all stuck to that we would all have them if we wanted aftermarket, Grahams post at the start is what i was after when i got my coupe 20vt, i thought the 16" were slightly to small in the arches.
I have seen so many 20vt's with nice alloys that are not in the lists and i always wonder how they are getting them to fit, it would be nice to know from some of the people that have got ones that have got spacers and hub centric parts aswell so we can see what wheels they have, i saw Gaz restalls car and spoke to him about his alloys which are kei force 10 lookalikes called kn raceline r10 and i really liked them alloys, but he said they have stopped making them (not sure if they have, heres the link).
http://www.motor-world.co.uk/show_prod.php?prod_id=12117I am still very undecided as whether to refurbish my standard alloys, or go for aftermarket, 4 new tyres and refurb costs about Ģ600ish, new set of alloys in 17" for that, what do you do????????
Hope noone hates me for writing that, i just wish Coupes had easier fitments, and more choice of alloys.

I therefore can not be held responsible for any wrong info.
Just bumping this to the end of the thread where it's easier to find. Are these really the only options we know of? I can't seem to source any Dare V5s but the V2s look good. Will they fit in a 17 or 18??
I've fitted TWS Revo 17x7" ET35 PCD 100 (wobbly bolt) on a Alfa 155 v6 with Brembo (4-pot brake caliper conversion).
No spacer needed, (added a 4mm thick spacer, to make the car look wider)

SSW Mesh 2 17" 7.5 go on as long as you use wobble bolts and a cheeky 20mm spacer on the front.
Mesh 2 To be honest could probably use smaller spacers but I wanted to use hubcentric to be on the safe side

Hello all,
Been lurking for a while and finally got a coupe a couple of weeks ago. Already spent plenty on it - thanks Mariusz again for all your help with the Zender Kit.
Anyway. To add to the List of wheels that can fit the Coupe, I have just fitted 17" Wolfrace Vixens with a 20mm hubcentric spacer and wobbly bolts. There ain't much clearance but nothing touches.
Cheers,
Sipey

sorry for the somewhat off topic post, but can anyone share a light on
these alloys? from what type of Coupe are they? LE? Plus? oh...and...does the coupe cabrio really exists? this is the only picture i found with one...

there plus wheels, and no there are no cabrio coupes yet

Re: List of Wheels - 08/05/2009 13:33
There's no cabrio (check out the shadow for a clue) and that interior is out of a Golf Cabrio.
I know because I still have the Photoshop source files from when I made it.

aren't
these the plus wheels? those on the 'cabrio' are a bit different and i've seen them on other coupes, like
this one...and i like them better
aren't they the LE ones?

Re: List of Wheels - 10/05/2009 11:39
where can i find bigger Wobbly bolts for 20mm spacers??
Posted By: Anonymous
Re: List of Wheels - 10/05/2009 11:57
Hi 20vtuga,
I purchased 20mm hubcentric spacers that you bolt to the hub, then you can use standard 28mm or 30mm woobly bolts to bolt the wheel to the spacer.
You can get 45mm and 50mm wobbly bolts but they are not TUV approved and I would not use them.
I would really advise against non hubcentirc spacers. If there is no spiggot or hub in situ to centre your wheels you will get vibraion at anything over 60mph and a lot of creaking and clonking noises from the wheels moving around on the bolts.

Re: List of Wheels - 10/05/2009 12:56
Bolts will also eventually shear and break, and you will loose a wheel or two.
Wheels are essential for roadholding and grip.

Re: List of Wheels - 11/05/2009 00:47
in portugual it's very hard to find 4/98 wheels...
and 4/100 with et 35 also

Re: List of Wheels - 11/05/2009 09:51
Use 4x100 wheels mate but make sure your purcahse hubcentric spacers that bolt to your hub then use 28mm/30mm wobbly bolts to bolt the wheel to the spacer. Make sure you use the correct torque settings.
I have, in my youth, used wobbly bolts on a cheap spacer that didn't allow the use of spiggots. The wheels lasted 2 days before they started creaking and knocking. At this point I took them for the very reason Per has stated above - the bolts would have sheared.

Re: List of Wheels - 26/04/2010 10:19
Hi Guys, I recently fitted 17" Team Dynamics 100+ Jets to my 2L 20v (Non-turbo). They look excellent, but the ride is very bumpy. Has anyone else experienced increased bumpyness with their 17" wheels, or am I the only one?!! I've tried to live with it, but sometimes it feels like driving a cart down a farm track. I'm seriously considering asking the place I got them if they'll buy them back and fit the same wheels , but the 15" version. (They don't come in 16", unfortunately).
Posted By: Anonymous
Re: List of Wheels - 26/04/2010 10:28
15's will look too small IMO. 17's will always be more bumpy - how stiff the sidewalls on the tyres and their profile is also a factor.
Posted By: Anonymous
Re: List of Wheels - 27/04/2010 12:00
The tyres are quite low profile, although I can't recall the actual size at the moment. I intend to have them put the 15" up against the car so I can get an idea first, but considering that the 15" wheels will only be 1" 'smaller' at the top and bottom, I'm hoping they might look ok. The originals are 15" and they don't look all that bad. I can always try 16" but I don't think alloy dealers really offer a 'try it for a week or so then bring it back if you're not happy' service, and 16" may well still be a bit harsh. I'm probably pushing my luck as it is hoping he'll buy the present ones back for a good amount, but I have to do something about the ride - my car's going to end up shaking itself to bits. Not to mention me!
They're ok on main roads, but I go to work and back across country using the back roads, so it's become quite annoying to say the least. A normal 'bump' in our MiTo feels like I've hit the Grand Canyon in the coupe!
I dread to think what the ride would be like with 18"s fitted! To be honest, I made the mistake of assuming that as long as the overall diameter remained the same to keep the speedo in check, the ride would be the same -I know now that the tyre size plays a big part in the ride comfort. DOH!!
Actually, before I go off changing wheels, would a change in tyre air pressure make a noticable difference to ride comfort? Can't remember the actual tyre size, but I have about 2" of side wall with a pressure of 38psi all round. Could I drop this, and if so, what's the lower limit? I assume that if I go too low, I'll just be bumping the rims down onto the inner tyre which can't be good?!

Re: List of Wheels - 28/04/2010 08:08
I've had std. 225/45r16 and the ride was hard(er), but never crashy or near the limit of uncomfortable.
On 215/45r17 (a slightly bigger overall diameter, causes some rubbing on full lock) the ride is even better! (increased rolling radius and allmost the same sidewall height).
As MiTo is not popular for it's cushy ride, and You don't seem to mind that, I'd say You should get your coupe suspension checked...

Re: List of Wheels - 30/04/2010 10:08
Hi, did as you suggested, and paid a visit to my mechanic, who had a look around, and declared the suspension ok, thankfully! Have gone back to Jet 100+ 15" with 205/50R/15, and the ride is back to normal. I probably over-emphasised the 'crashyness' (is that a proper word?) a little, but the ride did feel overly harsh. Probably noticed it more than usual, because of my constant use of very bumpy back roads through villages to and from work - and like I've had pointed out on more than one occassion, the coupe was designed to run on 15's.
So, problem solved...

Re: List of Wheels - 02/05/2010 17:36
Ok, sorry if I misled You and caused additional expenses.. It's very difficult to comment on ride comfort; different people -different experiences, conditions and expectations.
Contemporary cars pursue the aggressive/sporty styling route - big rims, low profile wide tires - leading to unsettled ride, high grip at the expense of steering feel and progressive slip, ultimately fun, even at low speed driving.
Anyway, glad to hear You're again enjoying Your car!

Re: List of Wheels - 06/05/2010 08:15
No problem - the car was in for a service anyway. It's more comfy now! (Pics on the 'Coupe pics page, if anyone's interested - but with the 17" rims!!)
Thanks,

Sorry if it's been covered but what's the deal with fiat 500 alloys? I've managed to work out they are 4x98, would need a spacer up front, but anyone know the centre bore? My google search didn't get any confident answers. Please don't make me ask my local fiat franchise!

Std. Fiat group pcd/bore is 4*98 - 59/59,1 mm
- used on contemporary 500, Bravo, Panda etc.
- used on out of production Tipo, Punto mk1, Bravo mk1, Alfa 145/146, Alfa 155, Lancia Delta/Dedra
Grande Punto / Punto Evo (and Alfa Mito) is mechanically linked to Opel/Vauxhall Corsa, so uses 4x100 - 60mm central bore
large cars (new Croma) /commercial vans (Scudo) use 5*108 or 5*110 - 65,5 or 70mm c.bore

Have been considering the Grande Punto Abarth wheels, would the difference in center bore make it impossible to fit on an QP with woobly bolts?

Make sure You get the spigot rings!!!
The wheel centering ring (coming from the hub) takes most of the load, the bolts just hold the wheel close and take some load due to metal to metal friction; they are not ment to take the whole load by shear stress.

Re: List of Wheels - 09/12/2010 22:01
And there are similar Bravo (new) wheels up to 18" which has the right PCD, 4x98mm.

Are Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 16" with ET20 a good fit or will they be foul something. I will be looking to buy either 205/50 or 225/45 tyres for them. Any thoughts?
Posted By: Jimbo
Re: List of Wheels - 19/04/2013 00:13
I would personally go for the 17"s over the 16"s, they look nicer and improve on the handling slightly.
ET20 may be a bit too much though, wont they sit proud of the wheel arch? I think ET 25 is about right for these wheels.
Posted By: deannn_20VT
Re: List of Wheels - 19/04/2013 08:14
I got 17's but where I am moving the roads are a poo and I need bigger taller profile tyres hence looking to downsize. However, I also thought that et20 may be a bit too low. Never mind.

They will fit on 16VT's. The offset is fine thou you will need variable PCD bolts due to 4x100 stud pattern.
