Great Bodyshop! (before & after pics) - 28/09/2008 00:08

For a while now my Coupe rear wing looked like this:

It looked dull and smudged after a shoddy previous repair.

And on the passenger door, this:

Where the door had rubbed on the top of the skirt and started to rust.

So a few days ago I took it to a guy called Steve Edwards in Halifax, West Yorkshire -> http://www.steve-edwards.com/index.php

Picked the car up today....

And cant speak highly enough of the job he's done. \:#

The colour match is totally perfect, it just looks different because I took the pictures at sunset.

I dont know if carlt would be able to see that it's been painted but I definitely cant see any traces of the repair at all.

I was so busy taking pictures of that side that I forgot about the other side, the rust has been completely removed from the passenger door and that is now mint as well.

I just need to get the trolley dinks taken out now by a good PDR guy....

The right hand side cost £280, and the passenger door £150. \:\)

I'll get some pics of the door tomorrow but that looks just as good!

Great finish - how long did the work take - I have some generously applied scratches down the passenger side - bonnet and rear three-quarter plus the usual shed-load of stonechips in the bonnet and have been trying to find a recommended paint place.

Cheers,

Wyzass

Good stuff. Particularly interested in the rust repair. I need my rear wheel arches doing soon.

So this is all properly rust treated? Does he guarantee it for any length of time, or should you expect to be back next year?

Re: Great Bodyshop! (before & after pics) - 07/10/2008 14:41

The rust hadnt gone all the way through so could be completely removed, I know that much.

If it comes back then it comes back, it's only a door skin, hardly an area of structural importance. ;\)

It is vital that you get it sorted ASAP to have the best chance of it lasting, so dont delay.
