16v NA Chrome headers - 03/03/2009 14:48
Well, bit of a lie really but the truth is that the 16v N/A comes with a tubular manifold as standard and its stainless. These are just bolted on to the car and don't look like much but you can change that. You will need: A buffer wheel, autosol, 1200 grit wet and dry, a drill mounted wire brush.
Firstly, remove the manifold. I kept the flexi pipe on as these are expensive and the bolts were seized.
Next, wash the pipes. I used gunk engine degreasant but soapy water will do. Next, wire brush off the blackened marks and stains. Next, rub with 1200 grit and then finally buff with autosol. The more time you take, the better it will look. I have posted a part way through pic. You can really see the difference.
