Innovate wideband O2 together with stock one. - 01/04/2015 15:53

Is there anyone using stock O2 lambda together with Innovate's or other wideband sensor and gauge in order to monitor AFR?
Just bought new Bosch 0258003579 OE lambda and i'm planing to fit it on it's original place just after the turbo(GT28RS) with shield bung, and place Innovate lambda sensor meter and half far - where originally the cat sits......
I'm tired to replace wideband sensors so often(3 for 3 years) and no more than 3000km, trackdays and fun only, no daily drive).....no difference if sensor is fitted just after the turbo or before the cat......sensor fails both places.......
Don't know if previous owner changed OE lambda, but now it looks different from what i bought today. Is 0258003579 correct part for me?
Catalogs said yes, but need to be sure. Looks like FIAT CINQUECENTO used same PNumber and it's bit confusing that skinny car may use same lambda as turboed 20VT with lot of heat after the turbo???
Thanks

I've got a gt28r with stock narrow band lambda in the Hayward & Scott downpipe, and have a UEGO wideband lambda mounted horizontally (rather than sloping downwards) in a boss just before the race cat. I've had both for more years that I care to (or can) remember. I don't know why yours seem to fail so often, I thought they typically lasted 50,000 miles or more, perhaps it's the infrequent use? The Fiat part number is 46417969 and Alternative Autos has the right one clicky and I find that findpart is good to get alternative part numbers to go off searching for. It shows Bosch part number is 0 258 003 579 which is the same as you have, and the workshop manual shows the same number, and pictures of that Bosch part look correct to me. It's common for the same part to fit many other Fiat, Alfa and Lancia models, regardless of how large or small the engine is.

Thanks, i'll fit it today, together with new Innovate sensor, cables and wiring will be checked as well.
Have spare controller if sensor fails again in short time, will try replace it.....

Yes, I am using stock O2 lambda + AEM UEGO AFR gauge with Bosch 4.9 LSU wideband sensor. Both of them are fit 35-40cm after the turbo. No problems so far...

Hi Guys,

I'm planning to buy an Innovate MTX-L. Is the 3 feet long sensor cable enough, or should I buy the 8 feet long version?

8ft so you can route it with ease.
