info about 2.4 conversion

hi friends

I'm little confused about 2.4 20v conversion and I need your support: here I post what are my doubt/questions:

- what engine to use? better 2.4 from Stilo Abarth or 2.4 20v (petrol version) from Lancia K / Thesis ??
- what needed to change? injectors? intake manifold? exahust manifold? cams?
- new live map needed? better fuel pump?

in 2 words what I can keep of my engine and what I have to change?

I'm actually Stage 2 Tuning

Both is almost the same. Only difference is an additional little pinch points in the stilo head which reduces inlet port. I think because of cumbustion regulations. Therefore the Kappa port is a little bit bigger, not really worth to mention. What you need for both are other exhaust valves, which can do the higher exhaust temperatures from turbo engines.

I remember soneone doing the 2.4 conversion without changing the exhaust valves in the Stilo head to a sodium-filled ones assuming they will be fine. Not sure it the project has been finished and what the result was but worth searching in the tuning section.

Hi guys,

I'm searching some information to convert a 2.4 20 from STILO to fit on my T20PLUS, currently using a GT28RS GARRETT turbo on stock engine.

I have found the connecting rods on eBay, but concerning the pistons, I have nothing.
The pin are different : It seems a d.22mm on 2.4 20V , but 22mm on 2.0 20V .... And at the bottom it's the opposite : bigger on the 2.4 crankshaft than the 2.0 ...

An other thing, the oil pipe to lubricate the turbo need to made on the 2.4 block.
Do you have some information about ?
