I´m only asking why you want higher gears? on recent post you asked about better performance and now with this "mod" you are about to kill it and get even worse than stock...

if you want lower rpm on highway, you can swap 5th gear wheels for some diesel one, or from some other engine which is connected to this type of gearbox...

But
to swap gearbox wou will need:
- at least change the way of clutch release -16v is push, wheras VT is pull type (in worst case, complete set -flywheel, pressure plate, friction plate)

- i´m not sure if the shafts and hubs are same, so you will need also these..

..however if you have a complete donnor car its easy (1 day job) and I don´t know why you asking smile

turbo gearbox will fit without mods. I'd keep the NA gearbox though.

Thank you, and yes the car runs really great now, i hit the rpm limiter in 5 gear easy and about 230 km/h at 6800 rpms, my friends Seat altea FR 170 tdi was going 220 km/h and i past him like he was nothing so yeah i really happy about the car smile

but i think the longer 1-2 gear of the turbo gearboks will give me a faster 0-100 time and jeg also think the 3-4 will be faster but i dont know if the car can pull the longer 5 gear of the turbo about 1000 rpm lower at same speed and 20 km/h higher speed vs rpm
