Gizzmo IBC Blank Canvas - 08/03/2021 11:33

Hi all,

Now the car is running perfectly after intake hoses were replaced I need to set up the Gizzmo again with the correct settings for the supporting mods, I have the original Rolling Road which states what it was originally mapped to by FC Performance, but it didn't state the fuelling and boost that was used to get that figure (it's mapped to 99ron) .

I have 4 memory settings and have currently set two to be:-

0.8bar and 1 bar

Before I add a higher Boost to the other 2 settings Would anyone with similar mods know roughly what boost setting with this turbo would have achieved the figures in the RR?

Thanks

Do you not have another page showing the boost on the runs? My printouts have a second page with boost in psi on them.

Mine made 335 @ 16.5psi/342@ 18psi/347@19psi/359 @21.5 psi.

All figures bhp at the wheels.

My gizzmo is set to 1.1/1.2/1.3/1.45 which is roughly in line with what FC show as the boost in PSI.

Hope the above helps

Thanks David that helps a lot, weirdly from a bit of detective work I discovered that a user called Basildonecoupe used to own it and there is a Rolling road page which lists it as being set at 1.3 bar for 331bhp.

I was waiting for another person to respond with there figures, so thanks for that smile

Basildonecoupe is a chap named Lloyd. He had a red Coupé first, then a 340bhp 200 SX, then a 747bhp R32 GTR (even third gear was not enough for this thing) and then this black Coupé that he modifed. I think he gave up on cars for a bit and thenhad an M135i and finally a Jaguar XFR.

I've done some digging in old folders but can't find a copy of his dyno print (I always ask my mates to send them over).

I haven't seen him for years but he often pops up on my instagram feed. I'll ask him if he has the full dyno print if you want. Leighton may well have a copy? He used to keep copies back then... sometimes.

Hi Trappy,

Another turn of events one of my friends is actually friends with Lloyd and worked with him a few years ago, He sent a photo of my car to him and he was really pleased to see it and was happy if I had any questions for him smile He's driving an XFR now and confirmed he had it set to 1.4 bar as a maximum. Nice guy and he still misses the coop.

I see your having some work done on yours at Joe's place (on Facebook pics) It looks good! I bet you can't wait to get it back smile

Cheers

Austin

Small world! I've always wondered if the previous owners of my car ever wondered where it is now.

I hadn't seen the photos on FB so thanks for that. It's finally coming together! woohoo

Indeed, Lloyd is very passionate about his cars and although he's had more powerful stuff he still misses the coop smile

You have done the right thing going to Joe he knows every nut and bolt of these cars, I'm sure Mine will end up there at some point if rust takes hold. smile

I have a power punch + hybrid turbo from fc performance running around 300+ hp. Leighton set my greedy controller at 1.150 bar and another setting 1.350 bar. This is for safety because of it being none forged and a pure track car and is mainly flat out in most gears every outing.
