Would a 16vt engine of this spec produce 330bhp ?

Just wondering really, as I was reading elsewhere about this car.

Would the spec of that produce 330bhp ?
I thought that the figure was a bit high myself (i'm not trying to dis-credit the seller) just curious thats all.
I realise that the 330 quoted would be at the fly.

Before any one asks, no I don't want to buy it.

no probs i would have thought. (depends on the engine work) but it has a Techniclutch clutch so that'd need replacing.

Yes, it has been RR'd at that i believe.

Cant believe it is back up for sale after the guy paid 9k for it from minifreak!

I'd give him 3 grand for it.

Also his engine work/advice was partly done by barbz. Say no more.

If you spend 9k on a punto you need help IMO.

Fair play - I didn't relaise it was bought like that (I thought he'd had it done himself) 9k is really steep though (imo) not sure what he wants for it as it doesn't say.

IMHO its worth the same as a 16VT of the same tune or less. The only thing beneficial about it being a Punto is the weight, aside from that it would be better off being in a more stylish bodyshell (ie a coupe)

what about twice that on a tipo??? Doesnt make me a bad person. Although I'd only sell for a fraction of that. It worth what someone will pay.

I've seen punto's for silly prices on PSC, some people are wanting 3-4K for a ten year old example. Seems ludicrous to me, whether it's just young lads massively over-rating their car's true worth (and they do, as anyone who's read the classifieds in max power will attest) or whether they actually sell, I've no idea.
