It's a straight swap. Having recently messed about with a brembo conversion, it's probably the easiest way and saves chopping track rod ends and steering racks up.

sound thats the way to go me think! So what do i need to convert exactly? I will have new rack fitted along with new 20vt track rods, hubs and abs sensors.is that the total?everything i can use? ive already got brembos, disks and pads and will have bilsteins for fitting

Speaking from working on Frans coupe, we changed over the hubs and obviously disks and pads. I cant remember what track rod ends we used but they weren't 20vt ones as his rack is not right (not a quick rack ) but then they dont fit in the hubs very well so we're planning on changing over the whole steering rack to a 20vt one.
The 20Vt driveshafts didn't fit onto his coupe either where I had understood they would but that's not too big an issue really.

Justleave them and swap the hubs. We'd planned to swap driveshafts so we didn't have to bother messing about with the hubs but the 20VT didn't fit on his. Whether that's normal or not I dont know, guess someone else with a 16VT might be able to tell you.

We ended up using a new set of 16vt ends on mine, but they are slightly too small as Matt says, so I have to get ahold of a new steering rack and we'll fit that instead.
As you say, all you should need are the brakes/discs/hubs, new steering rack and new track rod ends. Job done
