Gt series problems

Just a quick word of warning to all those with or thinking of fitting a gt series turbo. Seems the problem I've had with my new turbo is fairly common. The nylon bearing housing has let-go so to say. Anyway if you ask the right questions there seems to be a replacement bearing to cure these issue's (thank you to the guy's at owen developments). Luckly for me I only had one turbo let go, unlike soembody I know who had 3x gt30's go in quick sucession before he had this unofficial mod done.. Seems that maybe garrett know they have a problem but don't want to make it too public.... Umm not sure only sumizing on this one.. Cheers Tim

I think it may be due to the fact that people are ignoring to put an additional restrictor on the oil feed and are assuming that the built in restrictor can deal with 45psi plus, it can't.
