Calling all 16vt

Ok im just about to get my 3bar F/P/R fitted for my EVO chip plugs are already in, Also bought a tipo cam off begbie (inlet side), so i ring F.A.S.T (Fiat auto specialist) in stockton, and talked to a bloke on the phone asking if he could fit it, his basic reply was 'chuck it in the bin is the best thing you can do'??? he then goes on to say that it basically makes the car run lean and will end up in a blown engine. Then i also told him about fitting a tipo NA cam, giving higher lift as theres no overlap therefore acting as a performance cam. of which he said they dont fit, of which i think is wrong due to begie having it in his engine.
Then he says due to me having a de-cat my turbo seals will go. Fair enough due to the loss of back pressure but ive a spare turbo off my old coupe.

Glad i got that off my chest he had made me think or im i been paranoid? about all the things he has mentioned??

The evochip wont make the car run lean. An old forum user Trevxk125 had his car RR'd with the evocar's chip at G-Force and there was nothing wrong with his fuelling and was spot on, same goes for my dad's grale and the Lancia hyena that was there on the same day, fuelling was all fine for all 3 cars.

Tipo inlet cam does fit, obviously doesnt know his arse from his elbow then Maybe point him to the Integrale forum and see that it is a cheap and well sort after mod, instead of folking out £650 for a set of C&B cams.

And finally as for the turbo seals? Never had a problem on my 2 x stock turbo's i had running a de-cat and larger bore exhaust system

Just out of curiosity did he offer parts instead of the ones you wanted fitted saying something along the lines of:

"no you dont want to use that, thats no good. Here I'VE got just what u need, this chip/FPR/cam is much better than the one you want me to fit."

Wonder if he knows the 16vt from the 20vt , fiat specialist my a$$, i have the evo chip, recommended plugs, 3bar fpr and blitz to bump the boost up and have had it on the RR, alls perfect with the fueling and running so far, the cars been modded for about 2 yrs now and the only thing i have fitted to the engine is a cambelt, rocker gasket and a lambda probe as i screwed the old one probing it and the odd service items
