So had an issue with scorpion alarm and was wondering can a new unit, fobs and siren just be plugged in or is any programming needed? I'm not too smart on all this sorta thing so excuse me...

Yes, but the problem is finding new units. Very occasionally you'll see 918U units come up on ebay, they were fitted to VW as well as Fiat/Alfa, maybe others too. I've replaced my siren before. But do a Google search on Scorpion, they were "reborn" several years ago and there are some "remade" or otherwise remanufactured parts available, or failing that just fit a whole new alarm.
