Panel status indicator

The red Panel status indicator of the new MP3 unit I installed today flashes after I remove the panel. Is this normal and if so when does the light go out?

It's an H&B 5555 unit.

Glad to see you had a go. I had a busy weekend and a trip to Rogs is a bit too far. The red light is a security function IIRC. Its to show that the face plate has been removed.

The light is atttracting unwanted attention if you ask me but then again am no security expert

Other than that the unit rocks
