This car may be a bargain but beware and give it a good check over as the car was a CAT D insurance write off in March 2014. Seller is aware but does not feel the need to disclose other than referencing a VOSA document in the condition section.

I sent the seller a message asking "Don't you think you should mention it's registered as cat d?

He sent me a blank reply!

I did the same and got a reply saying this:

"I don't think when you look at the definition of a write off we talking the same language ? Age related damage due uneconomical repair costs? Even a bumper painting stripping and rebuilding would outweigh its 50% value."

If it was age related you wouldn't claim on your insurance. Must have been some collision. Looks like he is a trader so has to state it is a write off.

Auction finished for the at just over £1400. Wonder if the buyer was aware of the cat D.

This just got relisted again. Now with the addition of a moan about a time waster. Guess seller should really mention the car is cat d in the listing!

Nah, that was the bloke after me. This car has sold at least 3 times on ebay with buyers dropping out. Must be a reason.

I would imagine that the fact that he hides who bids / buys his cars might have something to do with it. Bit of shill bidding going on? I'm amazed there have been so many bids this time round on it.
