Hi all

Some 8 months and knuckle skin later, the light restoration of my 20VT "R511 GOK" is complete and I am the proud father of a clean and fresh MOT certificate. I had previously tried to organise uploads on the PROJECTS forum to show what I was up to and seek guidance/suggestions but alas I have been unable to do so. I already have my next project (a 20VT PLUS) so for this one it is time for a new owner. In brief (a great deal more done) the following has been done - please note where I say "new" this mean brand new out of box and a brand name e.g. brakes are all BREMBO

1. New rear springs
2. New rear shocks
3. New rear pads and discs
4. Rebuilt rear caliper x1
5. All rear front and rear hard brake pipes replaced with new
6. New front springs
7. New front shocks
8. New front pads and discs
9. Front and rear calipers painted with new BREMO decals on front
10. Replacement ex. manifold with new gaskets
11. Front light lenses recond'
12. Middle consoles removed, cleaned and repainted. Carpets and seats removed and professionally cleaned.
13. 18inch wheels fitted but comes with full set of original wheels.
14. All accessible metal under vehicle cleaned, rust treated and numerous coats
15. Undone previous owners/mechanics numerous (and I mean numerous) bodge jobs and any none OE parts removed and replaced e.g. missing heat shield.

Bodywork is in decent condition, slight surface rust on wheel arches but nothing else. Front and rear bumpers removed and repainted and i have put mesh behind all holes in front bumper to protect radiators. Drives lovely albeit I am no stranger to fast cars but this car's boost borders on teh scary.

Any ideas for sale price? Seems to me that these original 20VTs have a ceiling of around £4.5K? Was thinking about £4K would be reasonable. Photo attached.

Thanks for any replies.

I hesitate over my keyboard when answering posts like this mainly because whatever I say about price someone out there will invariably be outraged. However with a view to getting a discussion going ... I'm not sure you could get to £4k but it wouldn't hurt to put it on at that and see what happens. You've missed out a few details in your description such as mileage, when the belts are due and service history. With average mileage, recent belts, and FSH ... I would put this on for £3250 looking to take around £2750-3000.

And at this stage it would be appropriate for the OP to fill in the missing info and post a new ad in the relevant section, viz. For Sale..... smile
