Sprint Blue on ebay - 21/01/2006 10:10

Don't know if anyone else has seen this one on ebay but every time it comes up, I've counted 3 times so far, it sells but then gets re-listed by the same guy but with a different ebay name.

That's a different car. Says it has full service history and MOTs to back up the mileage

As history has shown by forum members - some low mileage coupes can cost you the same as a very high mileage or ever worse due to the fact that Coupes do not take well being left unused for days/weeks at a time - usual reasons why it may have low mileage.

I have changed a few speedo units and from what I have seen if you try to change the mileage with out knowing what your doing then you will bugger the speedo - it can be a sure indication of some one fiddling.

A common trick is that some cars have service history up to a point so people try to change back the mileage to that time so it appears as full service history. Please note this is just for info and I have no knol of this Coupe as mentioned on eBay and thus can not say that this has happened - it may just be as described

I agree, Hanny, but the dodgy looking coop, spotted by coupedave, with the funny speedo has done 51k (unverified).

Somebody else has seen one with 28k (sold with at least some proof and by a trader) which has no mention of a dodgy speedo. Two different cars entirely.

Someone email him and ask him

1. why he keeps registering a new username to sell the coupe every other day and

2. Why is £3200 a grand under book price? "book" price for a P reg 20vt is about £2500.

Thats the problem when you shill bid badly, you could end up selling it to yourself ( or mate ) and have to relist it !!

Can't see why he does it, just stick an ad in autotrader. Surely even this numpty can see its pointless continually putting it on ebay.

People who aren't really au fait with the internet still have this belief that you can sell anything on the internet for any price. I don't know why that is, maybe a hangover from the dot com millionaire days, but my friends who aren't online all have the same belief. Perhaps it's all those stories you get in the tabloids about people selling bits of fluff on ebay for hundreds of pounds?
