Niggly Point on Elephant insurance quote!???? - 17/06/2006 01:58

Getting online quote for elephant, asks u how long u have had liscence for, put in 4 yrs 10 months, £1050, changed to 5 yrs 0 months, £800!!!!!

bit risky, but surely worth £250 saving to tell a fib and round UP to nearest yr ???

I put my girlfirend on the policy who is 21 and it reduced my premium by £260. Happy Days! That was with Elephant.

i just done a quote with elephant who im currently with and bell direct....

elephant - £825
bell - £569

and theyre the same company

There all theiving w*****s! I am 22, driving 4 years and have 1 year NCD, i am paying £1200 fully comp. All other insurance companies wanted stupid money!

Rocky your Sig is just a little on the large size max is 300 x 100, yours is 509 x 224

rocky your doing well mate, at 22 i had a citroen ax gt which cost me 1200 tpfat. that was nearly 10yrs ago, and 1200 quid was worth a damn sight more then.

any idea if they go straight on a 20vt in 17 or 18" guise?? (i dont recall them being on the list of wheels that would that was complied a few weeks back)

I found mine was about that last year when i was 22 with HIV but i got loads thrown into it as well with them.

This year a much nicer £750 with 4 years NCB as well 2 of which are from the coop!

With HIV? Certainly, they do say status affects life insurance, but didn't know it affects motor insurance too

Taken from the link to the wheels above. Looks like wobbly bolts at least are needed for the 18"

17" = 4x98 et38, 4x100 et38, 4x108 et15, 4x108 et25

18" = 4x100 et45, 4x108 et15, 4x108 et25, 4x114 et42.

Rocky said he's defo got spacers so it looks like prob both would be needed , was hoping to stay away from that, don't mind just spacers but not sure about both, im a bit of a sceptic about such things
