Awesome turn-in - I think they are running on slicks in that class (in that series) which explains some of the grip he has. He's also driving the perfect racing line for Cadwell. I love that circuit - always do really well there.

I had one as a company car (many years ago) and was utterly brilliant - after 18 months you could put your hand through the rust holes in the upper bodywork. They then gave me a Lancia Beta..... crazy .

Bet you can guess the outcome. After a further 18 months I bought the car off the company for £475 for my dad (who filled in the holes and used it as a runaround) and got a Mk2 RS2000 in exchange driving love

The Italiana were wonderful mechanically, but the panels would have been better made from old tomato tins!

Suds are great value track cars. Neighbour has one after I talked him out of an XR2 and into a Sud. Race-prepped rolling shell with all the parts including a blue-printed standard engine was £1000. Lots of GRP available as well as some mad 16v supercharged 2.1 litre flat-fours...

Incidentally, here's my video of Cadwell

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_hY2TGkjlI

It's unlisted as MSV are a bit funny about video.

Me chasing 911s and a Perana Capri to start with. Then a BDA-engined MK2 Escort (20% power advantage)
