Any coupes on Google streetmap UK? - 19/03/2009 12:55
I've just noticed that you can use Google's streepmap on a number of UK cities now! Leeds, Newcastle, Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff, London, Norwich, Belfast, Edinburgh etc etc!
I've had a good look round Leeds but can't see a snap of my coop anywhere!
I remember seeing a Google van with a 360 degree camera pointing out the top in Leeds, in July / August time last year!
Can anyone spot theirs?!

You have to go into streetview Chris if it's available. It's the little man icon above where the zoom control is. If it's yellow then streetview is available

I had an informal new biz meeting with a client last week, who wanted to meet up at Paul coffee shop on Old Compton Street. Went to Google maps to see which end of the street it was, only to find the whole of Old Compton Street doesn't exist in Streetview. The whole street has politely told Google to do one. Pink beats chrome.

The Didcot data must have been in early 2008 as our house was still to-let at the time.
I've also noticed that our neighbour has parked in front of our garage so I'm going home tonight to smack him in the mush for blocking our access.

I've just been having a look on Google Maps and it appears the vans have been very busy as I was surprised to see my garage is now on the street view (just off Needle Street with my 3 Coops parked up
)
map link The last time I checked on Google Maps the only street views available for Scotland were in Glasgow,Edinburgh,Dundee and Aberdeen. Now they've pretty much got it all covered

And is that a lotus esprit?
Yeah it's an Esprit V8 (not running though
) The 2 you'll see from the forecourt are my spare Sprinty and my old 16v. My current Sprinty is only visible from Needle Street looking in from where the Focus ST is coming out from. It's parked next to the red LDV Pilot.
The Google van must have came round about the time I go for my morning tea break and I've searched all along the route I usually take but can't find a shot of me out on the road

Btw how the ** do you reduce all this cr4p and create a weblink
This is for anyone else who may be struggling with the long links:
Copy and paste the link
Click on reply
Then press the second button from the left
The pop up asks you to insert the link - delete the http:// that automatically appears in the box and paste your link in.
Then a second box will pop up, that's where you can insert whatever words you like

lol, I've had some time off work this week and went out for a drive yesterday.
Although I go to Llandudno quite a bit, as I like it there, I've never driven up the Great Orme, so thought I'd do something different for a change and went up there
Costs £2.50 toll to go up there, but worth every penny for those that haven't been before.
Just a word of warning though if you have a 20vt
There are two hairpin bends and I had to do the usual embarrassing reversing back thing to get around them
You should be at the point where you hav... get around lol
