Ferraris - 31/03/2010 11:40

Don't know how I ended up here in my lunchbreak, but was perusing the Fezza website. They have a great little function showing all the cars they have ever made..

There are some seriously good looking cars, esp in the 50s and 60s, but they made up for this by making some awful ones in the 80s!!

Clicky here - lottery winners only though love

I would have to say I love classic Ferraris but the new 599 would be in my dream garage.

I'm biased clearly, but I always preferred the mid-engined Ferrari shape to the front-engined models

The F355 is widely regarded as one of the prettiest, but for me, the best just has to be the 288GTO

Followed very closely by the very similar 308GTB

Re: Ferraris - 31/03/2010 23:45

I'd like a F40 in MINT condition, so I could buck the trend and fit a 1990 "G" Reg Toyota MR2 MK2 fibreglass Bodykit to it (badly, with all wrong proportions) cloud9

And then, presumably I'll be shot.

250 GT SWB Competizione for me! closely followed by a 246 GT. cloud9

250 GT SWB - top of the list by far. Good taste.

then 246 gt, 288 GTO, 250LM, 275 GTB, 355 challenge, 328 GTB, in no particular order.

Definately 288 GTO! There's always a few for sale on www.mobile.de
Posted By: Anonymous

Re: Ferraris - 09/04/2010 16:50

Another vote for the 288 GTO
But then again the classics, Dino, 250 GT Lusso, Daytona....
I've been in an F40 - could not believe how heavy the clutch was though. Stunning all the same....
I know the Testarossa styling gets an 80's panning from some but I really like the 512 TR too.

OK bugger it - I'd have any!

i second this! saw a real one at rockingham when there was a ascar race on, with other super cars and normal ones racing round trying to dry the track out, was amazing!!

Re: Ferraris - 12/04/2010 14:28

also as iv worked on a few ferrari's, i do think the 430 is the most well built one so far, everything is quality and when you take them apart you know they was hand built

F40 for me, for now and forever! Always been my absolute dream supercar!

Ferrari Dino for me please.

And a big NO to the F360. It's just not very good.

Re: Ferraris - 13/04/2010 08:28

Wouldn't that be a Fiat Dino? Either way it's on my list, along with the 308GTB (the lightweight with the plastic body, please).
Posted By: Anonymous

Re: Ferraris - 13/04/2010 08:56

Sorry, my mistake - early morning. Yes, that would be a Fiat. It's OH so pretty though! And small enough to go for a spirited drive without worrying about being over the other side of the road, unlike many a modern supercar.

Plastic is a good idea - you can poke it out again should you dent it!

Re: Ferraris - 13/04/2010 14:55

Well im going to mention the 348 as nobody else has - i am a bit biased though as i have one parked in my garage... tongue

I've only ever driven one Ferrari and that was a 360 Modena around Monte Carlo love

So if my numbers came up, I'd be getting one yes

Re: Ferraris - 13/04/2010 19:16

The Fibreglass 308 always gives me a dry smile - As an Esprit owner the Journo's always pan on about the fact that its 'plastic' and yet they somehow seem to forget about the 308 GRP and the principles of lightness.
I do really like the 348 Greg! I know its always panned but it still looks modern and fine to me.....
Actually might be considering one soon so I know whose brains to pick thumb

Iv reversed and parked a 550 and started up a 430, does that count?

Nope, right 1st time. It's a Ferrari Dino, this would be the Fiat Dino...

Pretty, but not quite as nice as the Ferrari

Re: Ferraris - 14/04/2010 11:25

I thought the Ferrari one (the one I posted a pic of) didn't get Ferrari badging or whatnot.

Was it officially called a Ferrari? I know it *is* one, but just wondering whether they claimed it at the time..
Posted By: coupe_integrale

Re: Ferraris - 14/04/2010 11:30

When it came out it wasn't badged as a Ferrari due to it not having a big v12 in it. I think plans were to use Dino as a separate marque to sell the smaller cars through but it never happened.
Posted By: Anonymous

Re: Ferraris - 14/04/2010 20:49

The 206/246 Dino was Enzo's tribute to his dead son Alfredino utilising the V6 that he initally proposed. The car was never supposed to have any Ferrari badges but they nearly all do now as add-on's. The 308 GT4 intially was also only badged as a Dino but customer demand saw the Prancing Horses appear......

Sorry Brewster - as per my earlier post - I've been in an F40 too thumb
