Looks like my running thread is going to go downhill!

Increase in spede limit will increase obesity

Money well spent on that research then - a journey is not shorter if you travel faster FFS!!

The only thing that could be considered to be shorter is the overall duration of a journey, which if you think about it can only be BETTER for obesity as you wont be sat on your fat arse so long.

Pointless even 'researching' this anyway - everyone already drives at 80mph + now.

Quite how Tropical Medicine is somehow relevant to motorway speed limits I really dont know.

I've been driving more than 20 years and I've observed* at least 5 speed limits, so put that in your pipe and smoke it.

* And I've observed thousand of speed limit signs, often while going past thinking, "50? They must be joking, I'm doing 120 easy"
