Misheard song lyrics - 29/09/2012 11:45

You know when you're listening to a song and the lyrics sound like something totally else?

For example in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=djV11Xbc914 at 50 seconds it sounds like he is saying ''I'll be coming for your love of cake.'' rofl

Anybody else got any hilarious misheard song lyrics? laugh

Oldies but:

Maxell - Into the Valley

and

Maxell - The Israelites

For the younger members of the forum a cassette tape was used to "download" music (usually from Top of the Pops on a Sunday night) or to pirate copies of records. So pirating music isn't anything your generation invented tongue laugh

<Googles> Well, bugger me, you're right.

I used to have the Live Magic album, which listed the final words as, "One vision", even though Freddie was actually singing, "Fried chicken", so I always assumed it was just some strange accent or something.

You learn something new every day.

As a kid...

"Golden Brown, texture like sun, lays me down, with my manchirons."

Never knew what manchirons were - just seemed to fit in with the song pretty well laugh.

SNAP! The Power "it's gettin, it's gettin', it's gettin' kinda heavy" is a reprise within the song (1min 50in). as a 9 year old kid I asked my older brother if he was saying 'This king cannot hack it' or something equally silly! I think as a child you hear what you want to hear, sing it how you want to sing it, and you don't really mind that you're just making it up mostly.

Just heard Back to Life by Soul to Soul - thought it was "how early in the morning, how early in the evening" for the first few listens, til a mate asked WTF I was singing.

I got my own back soon after when I heard him singing Sabrina Johnston's big hit as "Deep in the Valley." tongue
