Body wrap or respray? - 08/07/2014 14:02
Going to have my bonnet resprayed in a few months time. I have a nasty patch of lacquer peel on there.
The rest of the car is pretty good considering the age.
Been in touch with a respraying company just for a quote on a full respray... £2400
I don't think that's too bad however he did say they also prep cars for body wraps
Has anybody had a wrap on there coupe? I'd be interested to hear people's opinions on which they think is better?
I personally think a respray would be better for that metallic finish and shine, but do you get that with a wrap? Anybody got any pictures of a wrapped coupe?

Why would you cover up that new pearlescent white paintwork?

It really does prove sometimes that's it's not what you know but who! Took my coupe to see a friend of a friend who owns his own body shop, full respray including labour etc.....

Indeed, for mine, stripped by me with preparation done by my son and 2K colour coat paint supplied, £250 for spraying all coats and putting in oven.
Would have been rude not to.

Make friends with the OP; then you'll be friends with a friend of a friend of someone who owns one. Isn't that good enough...?!

Even better,
This will be my Christmas/new year gift to myself. Once it's done I think I'd be petrified parking anywhere, maybe start parking in the furthest away spot available at the supermarkets!
