One for the Brummies....

One for the Brummies.... - 25/03/2015 07:59

My 3 children are going to watch McBusted on Saturday night at the NIA (or the Barclaycard Arena as it's now called) and my wife and I are driving them there. As it's an hour round trip we thought we might stay and dine out in the area.

We'll park in the multistory attached to the Arena so would like a restaurant within a 15/20 minute walk.

Budget up to £25/£30 a head.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Without drinks. As I'm driving and my wife isn't a drinker, it'll be water all night!

When we go out in town (not that often), we usually spend a bit more, but without the drinks, there are plenty of restaurants that fit the bill near the NIA, especially Brindleyplace.

In Brindleyplace I would recommend Cielo, about 50 yards from the NIA

Not cheap, but if you don't go for the meat you'll be in budget (just, maybe, possibly laugh ).

Cote Brasserie (chain restaurant, but nice) in the Mailbox is nice as well. It's just a short walk down the canal path. Lots of bars too.

Being a Saturday, lots will be booked up, but you may just fancy a wander about. If you like Indian/Thai, there are lots of places dotted about. If you pull up a google map and look at Brindleyplace and the Mailbox you should find one you like.

Thanks Jonny, appreciate the information.

The Cielo looks very nice, think I'll see if they have a table....
