Parking in London......Again

Calling on the all knowing forum members and any London dwellers!
The Mrs and I have won tickets to the premiere of the new Star Wars film tomorrow evening and we're planning on spending the day in the big smoke beforehand as she's never been!
So requirements are somewhere that's pretty reasonable ,accessible(due to the fact we'll need to drop the shopping back before heading off to see the film) and as usual....safe would be nice. If you know of anything you can personally recommend or a service you've use/know of, your help as ever will be greatly appreciated.Or if your a London dweller and feeling particularly generous and have a space on your driveway...well that would be pretty spectacular! Of course..If some kind soul were to offer that as an option. They will no doubt be repaid with some description of alcohol/biscuits and chocolates or a variation of...

I must admit i normally drive to a tube or overground on the outskirts and train in. Coming for the M11 direction, I usually park at Cockfosters tube and go in from there.

The shopping drop off might be a pain, but its about 35 minutes from Leicester square so not too bad if you make time for it.

£5 for a day!!

Beware Embankment at the moment. They're digging that up for a cycle superhighway and a 1hr 15min journey became a 3hr one the other week.

I recommend QPark if you want somewhere safe with reserved parking. They're expensive but some offer deals on theater land events (not sure Star Wars counts though). There's one under Trafalgar Square and another in Chinatown.

I've just had a quick look and there's a drive in a cul-de-sac (south of the river) just over 2 miles from Leicester Square. Should be a pretty easy journey on the tube. Property is close to Vauxhall Underground station.

We've used the website for concerts at Wembley and the Ricoh (Coventry).
