Crappy weather up here, that's to be expected though, been snowing on & off for a few days now. 10am this morning went out to get my paper from the next village, minus 9c. My wee diesel hack has it's winter boots on & is very steady in the snow. I'm entertained by the larger rear wheeled marks which are all over the place. snowman

3-4" here. Left the Merc at home today as the hills are too steep so I took the Abarth 595 with sport mode off.

Re: No Snow Post - 10/12/2017 16:49

I had a day out into North Wales in the Alfa GT yesterday - snow was 8"-10" deep in places, but it has winter tyres fitted and went places where it really had no right to

Alfa GT in the snow at Lake Vyrnwy

About 4" in the lowlands of Staffordshire, but probably double that on the higher ground

I'm looking forward to the commute, but not to the eejits that think that 15mph is too fast....

So Bongo will be going to work as usual. Need to get the winter tyres fitted though !

About 6 inches of snow here so far and still snowing now. About 10 inches on the higher grounds according to the locals that are posting on Twitter.

I went out and cleared the Coupe earlier and started it up. Cleared the drive, etc, but will have to do it again tomorrow by the looks of things.

Great pic, Nigel.
Seven inches on the ground here in Hereford. My cars best left where they are parked today.
Bloody love it.
Have spoken to several neighbours who couldn't drive today, and had to walk. Snow is good for the neighbourhood.
Dug out a carers Vx Adam from outside our house for her to carry on with her rounds.
I have achy neck syndrome now from sledging

Re: No Snow Post - 11/12/2017 02:35

Definitely no snow here, although close by there have been some severe thunder storms with hail.

Just a pleasant 28C inside. If it gets any hotter, we may have to turn on the air-con.

Great shots Sam, though one or two are so big I couldn't quite make them out!

The first, with the snow-laden branches, is my favourite smile

First of the morning frost up here, no big deal but it's a reminder of things to come. Early morning starts for me in my job. snowman

Re: No Snow Post - 28/10/2018 19:42

The weather has changed from 'bugger, the aircon isn't working because the fan has died' to 'bugger, I can't defrost the windscreen because the fan has died' overnight.

Which is why, yesterday morning, I spent three hours with my head in the Bravo footwell discovering that there is no way to remove the fan without first removing the steering column. Which requires the steering rack to be dropped. Which requires...

(memo to brain, if you remove the driver's seat and turn on the ignition, you get an airbag failure...)

Oh well, I managed to change the resistor pack and it all seems to be working at the moment.
