If you didn't watch it, you should have... somehow, this year, they seem to have remembered how to race.

Yes - it’s looking like being an interesting season - with a fair bit of help from the safety car.

Ricciardo did a great job with the overtakes and RB got the strategy spot on but Max seems to be a bit careless this year which is hurting his (and other peoples) results.
Merc could have pitted Hamilton for tyres at the same time as RB which would possibly have seen him nearer the front if not winning it.

Merc got it very wrong. Hamilton was complaining about the tyres from the start. They should have been looking for a cheap pitstop opportunity as their main priority throughout the race. Merc's strategy is usually a bit too conservative.

Daniel R was razor sharp at the end of the race. Max just proved again he still lacks racecraft. He was known for blocking dangerously and probably outside of what is allowed by the rules. Now he is getting most passes wrong. He seems to have quite some way to go before he matches the hype around him.

From what I have read and seen, Merc didn't have any soft tyres left for Hamilton to use and Toto said to Sky after the race that they thought track position would be better than fresher tyres.
