I guess there's less coupes about but we all seem very quiet.
Maybe I have rose tinted specs but the days of writing a post and being beaten by someone else, have they gone?

Or has social Media taken over and only the old guard are manning the forums?

There's probably a fair amount of truth in that BM....anyhow welcome back smile

Btw thanks to Kayjey's wizardry we now not only have a smart-phone friendly forum but one which can host pics as well!

We now have a Facebook page. And to be fair it's a good thing mostly.
Anyone wanting technical advice is pointed in this direction.

A minus point might be that it has reduced new membership numbers.

The forum is certainly a different place since I came on here over ten years ago, the craic was great, weekends were, shall we say interesting.. drink blabla Some lively discussions, but all good fun. Some people have moved on & if you don't have the funds or the Coop friendly garage near you well, I suppose it's inevitable the Coop becomes a bit of an expensive burden.

I don't do or never have been on face book, clever that it is & the many useful things etc, it has one drawback & a dangerous one at that..the dark side. Some parts of social media can be very dangerous indeed actually leading to death, yes I may be a bit extreme here & way off course regarding our forum but it's an eye opener to say the least.

History tells us that churches are at their worst when they are in positions of power & prestige.

Hi Edinburgh, hope you're well and the bee??

I tend not to Facebook either, I'm on it for keeping up with kids rugby, my own rugby and that's it.
I don't need to know what aunt Sally said, what anyone had for tea or the cries for attention.

I have also noticed the old place feels a little more modern. It's nice but it still looks the same which is great comfort

Got through a year of losing one or two bits but mustn't grumble, pretty good thanks! BB has been all round Scotland a couple of times on Coupe tours, just back from Thurso yesterday too when it behaved impeccably. Corrosion though around sills and rear arches needs expert attention amongst other things to it's off to Joe's in a couple of weeks smile

I'm not a Facebooker....

How's the bonnet opening working?

Ah the bonnet opening.....
I put a new cable in and that's now detached. One of the many things that needs a tweak.

Do I count as old guard, BM? laugh

And what is this book face thing anyway? Far too modern for the likes of me...

That's probably the case. Just to give an indication of the popularity of the Facebook groups, there's a midlands meet listed on one of the groups (the one not associated with the club) that has 22 people going and 43 interested. I can't remember the last time a regional meet attracted that much interest on here.
