Any traffic cone experts?

Any traffic cone experts? - 14/09/2023 16:42

I was struck by the diversity of cones on a recent trip to Gatwick, down here in rural Dorset we don't get much diversity of any sort, strictly orange ones with white sashes, but I spotted green with white, blue with white, blue with yellow and a single orange with pink. I assume they represent different hazards/restrictions?

Didn't see that one, maybe he doesn't get to go by plane so doesn't get down to Gatwick much?

There is a recent sport in West Coast USA of sticking traffic cones on the bonnet of self-driving taxis. They're programmed to recognise traffic cones and maneouvre around them, and the one on their bonnet of course comes with them, so they just shut down and sulk after a while.

Saw a brown one yesterday, probably mud given it's Dorset or just sunburn.
