Harrier jump jet

Harrier jump jet - 14/02/2024 09:40

Read an article where the USMC are using their Harrier AV8''s with great effect over the Red Sea drone hunting. A great British invention first flown in 1967 but scrapped by the UK in 2010 in budget cuts and for various other reasons frown. Typical short sightedness yet again particularly where theatres of conflict are changing and versatility is the name of the game. The US saw it but evidently not the UK grr

Too much of a masculine name.

Should have called it the Namby Pamby. It would still be in service

Don't they have to rename it 'The King' now Charlie Boy has been promoted? laugh

Seems to be a renaming vibe attaching to this thread.

And now Trident, makes you feel safe in your beds. How about Neptune? he was a king and had a trident, not sure if he had a harrier though.
