Electronic Boost Valve (EBV) Cleaning or Replacing - 29/08/2018 17:30
Click here to download a PDF of how to remove and clean the EBV.
To replace the electronic boost valve follow the link above on how to find and remove it.
You need a more modern replacement such as the Astra VXR item and a wiring connection, both of which are shown below from eBay.
For the Astra boost valve the shiny port pointing left is for the turbo vacuum line (red sticker), the one which sticks up is for the actuator vacuum line (blue sticker) and the other one pointing right can be left to atmosphere or you can connect it to the inlet manifold pipe rather than blanking it off.
For the wiring extension the bullet connectors go into the original plug, there is no polarity so you cannot get it wrong.
With thanks to Chris Spooner & Leighton (Flea) for links and description.
