Would a front strut brace off a 16v fit a 20v?

are you talking about the omp 4 post one?
if so.... yes you may need to move the fuse box a bit though. Its pretty simple. Just unbolt it and then cable tie it to the strutbrace

Or if you fit it back to front then you dont need to bodge the fuse boxes .

Following the good reviews on strut braces in the forum, I've just ordered an OMP one for my 20v NA. Meantime I thought I'd start preparing for it by tackling the big clump of wires on the suspension turret that gets in the way. Something struck me as odd. The main bunch of wires that comes up from the depths of the engine bay was routed through the gap between the engine and the top stabiliser, then over the top at a sharp angle. To me, it's more logical to bring this up between the stabiliser and the turret. Keeps the wires further away from the engine, and smooths out the angles, plus it gives you a vital bit of extra slack over the turret, so I've moved the wires to this position. Now I'm wondering, was there some valid reason for the original positioning? Am I missing something here?

One other thing, for you guys who have stripped out the engine bay. I've dropped a couple of small things down the gap between the turret and the bulkhead. Is there any hope of getting them out?

Anything dropped into the engine bay usually ends up on the undertray if you have one. If you're unlucky it'll be balancesd on the back of the block where the CHOD resides ie lost!

I have a probe with a magnetic tip, saved my bacon a few times.. 8-)

Thanks guys. The tray is off at the moment while I do a series of jobs and I've taken the car out on a test run like that so, if that gap is actually open right down to the bottom, they'll no doubt have fallen out on the road somewhere.
It's OK, it's not diamond rings or anything like that, so I can live with it!
