20VT Floating Discs - anyone interested? - 22/07/2016 10:27

Hey boys and girls. If I managed to source a manufacturer of floating discs for our lovely 20VTs, would you be interested in a group buy? I would test them on a track first to see if they are up for some serious work.

I might be interested depending on size and, of course, price!

Which ones are the best performance and which are the best all round value for money?

I'm sure i was quoted about £900 for reyland's and the Fiat ones were difficult to find without the calipers

The Compbrake are about £550

So how much are the proposed group buy likely to be?

My contact told me they are not going to make them.

I would suggest you do a Google search for "compbrake problems"

The discs from Fiat are available, although at a price.

I have been very impressed with mine - almost no squealing, very strong performance and the added bonus of a modest reduction in unsprung weight

Thanks, Nigel. After seeing so much negative feedback I won't touch compbrake.
