This is my project thread

20vt, in Scott Green purchased as a non-runner. Always wanted a coupe since I developed a heavy right foot!

Straight off the flatbed - looking somewhat sorry for herself!

14th June update

Replacement battery & fuel filter, cleaned fuses, spark plugs and coil packs.

She now starts!!!!!

Flushed brake fluid
Fixed windscreen washers (temporary for mot)
Refilled front diff.
Air filter replaced

MOT COMPLETED:
Failed on

emissions (expected as I couldn’t get the de-cat pipe off)
Front light beam dip
Handbrake cable efficiency low.

Not bad! Easy fix on the whole

New issues:
Central locking not working - won’t lock...

Passed its MOT! Yippeee

Only took re-fitting the CAT (duh!
Tightening the hand brake cable
Polishing the headlights (lots!)

Really impressed!

Oh and fixed the central locking issue too (fuse needed reseating!)

Will post some new pictures once I've tided up the body work a little.

Fitted upgraded bonnet gas struts (series 2 with the locking system) and completed my first oil change.

Couldn’t figure out why the previous owner used self tapping screws to hold the under tray on till I tried to refit it by myself. Cue a blue worded description for the previous owner who broke many of the original undertray fittings...another one to add to the fix list...

15/06/2022 update

Even though she's for sale I still cant help tinkering

Sanded, filled cracks and sprayed bonnet, inc 2k clear coat - was happy with the coverage. Just need to flatten with the machine and some cutting compound. I'll do that post dent removal, in case I need to touch up.
Replaced oil cooler (cheated and outsourced that to MDZ Italia as its a pig of a job)
Repaired floor pan and sealed with wax oil
Disconnected alarm till I get either a replacement fob coded or a replacement unit
Sanded, filled and painted the A-Pillars matt black
Sanded, filled and painted the damage to the front bumper & wing
Rubbed down centre console in-situ (what a messy job that was!)
