Hi Joe,
the G25-660 should be a great fit for your car. It should easily match the 550Hp of your old turbo, but being a similar size to a GT/GTX2867 it should spool miles quicker cool

Morning Simon, yes my lad did the research for this one as he fits the G series turbos to his customers Abarth Puntos as part of an upgrade package so I've followed the development and have been very impressed with the figures, it'll make a nice change to have controllable power over the old unit.

Hi Joe, just to let you know my car just made 480hp today on a G25-550, so on that basis your 660 should make 580hp cool

I went with a Pulsar turbo which is a really high quality exact copy of the Garrett original. It is half the cost and has a lot more A/R and housing options than Garrettt offer. So if you havent bought your turbo yet I would recommend that you have a look at Pulsar's website. Really good customer service as well smile

It was Nigel's moon grey 20v, so it has forged internals, fast road cams, Barbz head, uprated injectors etc.

Yes I've gone Pular as well, I was going to go Garrett but they're twice the price for the same spec so it's helped the budget.

Did you get a graph for yours, be interesting to know the Ft/Lbs and boost pressure you ran for the bhp.

Just received the dyno graph 5 minutes ago. Epic improvement in response from the old turbo. smile I'll post it on my thread now.

Cracking improvement on the torque with yours, I hoping for the same results with the turbo and big valve head, I'll dig out my old graph back from 2012.

Yes it's just such slow progress with only being able to grab an hour or two at a time, BH weekend ahead so hoping to cut out the spare wheel well to prep for the new exhaust route, GTV rear end and measure for the new fuel cell.

I see that you are going with a seperate wastegate Joe.

That should make the downpipe installation fit a lot easier than mine was with the integrated wastegate Your turbine housing looks about 4 inches shorter than mine (no smutty jokes please smile )

Re: Rocket Ronnie - Discussion - 28/03/2024 12:30

It's not the size it's how you use it laugh

Seriously you're right I really don't want to have to fabricate another down pipe like I did for the 30/82 which had the watergate plumbed in to the exhaust, this one can have a screamer pipe.

........ this was hard work!
