My local circuit !!

I've driven it in an F430.... It is a short circuit, but I guess the price reflects this.

Might pop down Joe.

Thats not bad value.

Cheaper than Castle Combe!

I'll try to pop down but not sure I'll be tracking the coupe.

I'll just watch you professionals at work smile

It is a small circuit, so I guess limited on what they can charge.

Not sure if I'll take the Coupe or not. Will pop down for a cuppa though.

Professionals, lol

I would class myself anywhere close, advanced novice maybe, certainly not professional.

Don't think I'll track mine so close to Brooklands... it's asking for trouble (remember last years brake caliper debacle?). Also, my alloys are nice and shiny with new paint.

Will pop down though to watch, either in the Coupe or on the bike. See you both for a cuppa in the cafe !

Sorry guys I have to pull out as injector number 1 breaking down when hot frown

I have however been invited to be a passenger in a very classy Lexus ISF for a day out with these fine ladies and gentlemen on Sunday:

How did this go, Joe? Did it stay dry?
Toby and Jon - did you pop down?
I spent the afternoon painting my wheels.
They're starting to look better - my hands are looking er colourful cool

Wait - Jon - you had a Lexus road trip. How was that??

We had a great day Huw, bright and dry until 5pm but by then we'd finished.

Llandow is a great circuit for any novice wishing to learn or just have a go. Marshals were good and their system is groups in the morning, novice to advanced with 2x 20 minute sessions so everyone gets on track, and then open pit lane after lunch with a maximum of 10x cars so there's no bunching or bullying which works well with such a small circuit.

Llandow pictures.

Nice piccies. Do you have to fit the front towing eye as part of the track day regs?
How hard was the day on the tyres?

Fitting the towing eye is the norm on any track day, it makes recovery quicker should you decide to venture off circuit.
The surface is abrasive at Lllandow so quite hard to run any more then 7-8 fast laps before road tyres start over heating, the locals run track tyres along with hard compound slicks.

Hi Huw,

Yeah sorry I didn't make Saturday. As you know I'm never one to turn down a day out with the Coupe mobsters but I did go to the Pistonheads meet yesterday.

Superb 150 mile run through the Welsh mountains. Well attended with 60-70 cars from various manufacturers turning up for the blast.

No Fiat Coupe's regrettably but may be next time.

Some video footage shot from a Drone due to be added to the Pistonheads website very shortly smile

Re: Llandow circuit 16th April 2016 - 18/04/2016 20:09

Hi Jon.

I had to Google a Lexus IS-F
"The ultra high-performance model. The IS-F comes with a 416-horsepower, 5.0-litre V-8 and sprints from zero to 60 mph in 4.6 seconds. A new breed of Lexus."
Sounds great - if you can hear it - could you?
Post a link to the Vid when it happens, please?
Shame there were no Coupes. You'll have to go in yours next time driving

Alex is a great guy and a great driver. He wants to come out on the next Fiat Coupe meeting and he'll bring the Lexus smile

Is this the Alex that came out in his Mk1 Focus RS on last years run? He gets a mention in someone's highlights of the day

Some of my highlights of the day:
1) The Boxster Spyders - looked and sounded amazing.
2) The Lexus - didn't expect it to have that much power and the sound, wow smile
3) The Porsche 964 (I'm biasing to Porsche I know :P)
4) The R32 that was having a bit of an identity crisis with Porsche brakes.
5) The blue Mk1 TT.
6) The white 370Z, shifted and sounded absolutely amazing.
7) The GT-R's smile
8) So much more!

There's some great pics on the link. Your Coupe would be right at home amongst those high calibre motors...
