I've been speaking to Auto Italia and they like the Fiat Coupes in attendance. Also they want a few to go the famous test hill.

Paul, can you say something about the event as I've not been able to find any info online. This may sound funny but not go a sigle clue what Brooklands is about. But I know one thing, if it's about racing then I'm in

It is not about racing, it is a gathering of high performance cars some of which will be demonstrated both at the Brooklands Museum site ( http://www.brooklandsmuseum.com/ ) and on the track at Mercedes-Benz World. ( http://www2.mercedes-benz.co.uk/content/...orld.flash.html )

Had my coupe for a while but never been to a meet.

Would really like to come to this, anyone from Kent going and fancy driving down together?

Just think, two yellow 16VTs. They are thin on the ground in any colour now.

Junction 10 of the M25 is about 10 minutes from Brooklands.

I will be arriving in my coop and if its dry my cousin in hids Black AC Cobra and my friend in his Red F430.

Can we all just drive in or do I in the coop or the Cobra have to park elsewhere?

Just drive in, there will be marshals there to point people in the right directions.

Similar cars will be grouped together, I believe that coupes will be on the banking.

I'm coming down to this one,give my project coupe it's first good long run out? fingers crossed, just look out for ink black/grey primer/rust/dents .

Well, I was going to say 2.5 as it's part yellow, part white. No wedding that weekend, just my birthday instead. Wedding in on the 27th though

If you are in the coupe you come in and park in the coupe area with the rest of us even if you are not doing a run.

If my brother wants to or if he can can he park his Alfa in the same area near us coupe's? as we are coming down together one coupe one Alfa.

And if any body coming from the midlands area what time are you setting off?

I expect that the marshals at Brooklands will send him wherever the Alfa parking area is.

What time is kick-off on Sunday? I haven't got advance tickets (mainly because I wasn't sure how many kids were coming). When do the gates open?

Looks like she will be there (unmapped, so VERY slow ). If not, JBT will be losing vital parts (mostly below the waist)

In addition to the supercar displays we also have car club, classic and special car displays in support of the event. These cars will be located on the Finishing Straight on the approach to the Banking. The first Test Hill run at 11.00 is intended for these cars and the briefing will take place at 10.30 where wristbands will be issued.

The second Test Hill run will be held at 15.45. Primarily this will be for supercar owners but other cars can run on an opportunity basis, in which case you will need to attend the briefing at 15.00 if you did not run during the morning session.

All display cars will have exclusive entry via the Brooklands Road entrance.

The latest forecast for down here is that it will be dry on Sunday after raining tonight. tomorrow and Saturday.

If you are coming from the west, allow a bit more time than usual. Its one of the public days for the Farnborough Air Show and traffic snarls up round here in the morning from around 8am.

The weather forecast looks OK....

If I was coming solo I wouldn't hesitate, but if it is raining in the morning I will have problems extracting my teenagers from their beds

Still not 100% i'll be there, i'm halfway through fitting my new wings and she needs a really god clean and polish. There is also a chance i'll be a tad hungover as i've got two birthday parties to go to tonight. If all goes well i hope to be up there after lunch.

Sorry didnt get to catch up with you all, just a quick hello to Begbie, Edz and some dodgy geezer that goes by the name of Iain (Nismo)

I was knocking about with my Dad, brother and my cousin who I hitched a lift with in his Black AC Cobra, sounds bloody amazing and had a lot of attention!

I only realised the coops were there when one of the forum chaps told me where they were, well out of view, tucked away.

Pretty good day though, enjoyed it.

Well took my project coupe out to it's first meet, the long trip (it's first) to Brooklands today to meet some other coupe's and he loved it, i heard him whispering to naf's and petep's coupe my owner saved me from the scrap yard two years ago now i feel like an old man with a big shot of VIAGRA so i thought i better perform for him.

And he did my coupe performed fantastic from Leicester to Brooklands and back , we both had a great day out and it was great to have a good natter to Joe cc,petep,Nismo,naf,tim,James5,begbie and others(sorry forgot some first names and other names already) and i must say you all made me feel at ease and welcome,Thanks

The afternoon hill test was made good by the wheel spinning Merc.
The Delorean was good to see.

And the Coupes of course!

I got there too late to see the 'test hill' action, but the De Lorean was fun to see, especially the 'Back to the Future' add-ons. (big smile)
