Grasshopper, Westerham, Kent: Meet 7-4-2013?

As with previous years, this has been well attended and a good chance to natter and compare engine bays!! Any takers this year? Maybe before Easter- Sunday 17th. March or just after- Sunday 7th. April. I'm not fussed about which day but Sundays tend to be more popular and therefore better attended.

Once attendance and date get sorted I'll ring to reserve a table for the cavery like last year.

That's OK Ross, I've just read Theresa's thread regarding 2013 events and Horsham is very early this year (guaranteed rain then!!)so maybe mid-April is better- between Horsham and Brroklands.

Ive been to the last 2 here and its a nice drive, nice pub and a good big car park. This was one of my first ever meets I think.

If the weather is good, might pop down for a top down cruise to say hello.

Thanks for kicking this off Ross. Given that it is a month away I think I need to get some confirmations sorted for lunch. If everyone could let me know by Friday 22nd. March then I will ring to get things sorted for Sunday 7th. April with the Grasshopper so we may get one or two tables for lunch, like last year.

Like Last year, I think it will be easier for the pub and probably us if we look to eat a bit later (2:00 ish) and therefore meet in the car park after 1:00 pm.

That's fine by me, BUT! could you ask them not to leave their brocali and cauli cooking until we arrive please

Iain, Good luck fixing the Beast, it would be good to see you; Tim, the Grasshopper is a 'local' gig for you! Do they have snow in Kent?!

I have booked the table for 2:00 pm for a maximum of 12 so all those (10) who said "yes" are OK and there are 2 extra spaces for anyone who changes their minds!

They remembered the Fiat Coupe Crowd from last year and said we were most welcome (makes a change from the Evo and Subaru riff-raff!).

So look forward to seeing everyone from 1:00 pm in the car park.

Just to say two things:

Secondly, I have an overdue MoT on Tuesday and the gremlins have struck. Airbag lights both on and I can't fathom out the Scan software, I'll bring the laptop along and maybe someone can show me what to do? Also the screen washer has given up, I will check the fuse but think it could be the pump- anybody got one (cash and drink waiting!!).

2nd patient requiring an airbag light cancel if anyone can help? I hope it's not the clock spring! Just a gremlin from not being run for a while

A low battery can cause the airbag light to come on , I'll bring my laptop and leads and should be able to reset your airbag lights guys . See you all tomorrow .

Special thanks to Nismo for attempting to reset the airbags- I'll see what's up with the passenger switch! Thanks also to Serg1 for continuing the panel gap debate started on Monday and letting everybody else join in! If I ever had any plans to go in for concours competitions I won't be doing it now!

Nismo- I got my laptop out and managed to reset the airbags JUST long enough for it to pass the MOT and rubbed the washer pump terminals with wet and dry and they work too! Happy days!
