Sorry, a temporary indisposition has meant my being quiet on this thread but I can confirm we've been given dispensation for a slightly late entry
AlanK and G_Man please could you PM me your names and addresses, exact coop model and reg. number asap, by end of today ideally.
This is for their insurance purposes only, no-one's going to start selling you PPI
Cheers, Simon
Also a late call for anyone else interested? We have been promised an area together as last year and entry for participants is free

Re: BVAC Classic, Thirlestane 3/6/18 - 09/05/2018 13:42
Quite possibly!.....just a shame we can't all park together on the face of it. Those of us allocated the space need to turn up by a certain time which might not necessarily suit the others though

Re: BVAC Classic, Thirlestane 3/6/18 - 09/05/2018 16:00
There were only spaces for so many....we were granted late entries onto the show area as a favour and IIRC it was the 7th name which was the final one allowed.
Jimmy and Rita and possibly one other will be outside our area I'm afraid, but we'll still see them nae doot
I'll take responsibility for the late entry request as I guess I was sidetracked a bit......

Yes Brian, I'm waiting for the official cards/papers to arrive and we'll meet in the same place which was ideal, time tbc...
As you come off the Edinburgh City Bypass at Fairmilehead exit, take the A702 Biggar Road and in a couple of hundred metres or so you'll see the Esso garage on the left. Opposite is the
meet-up area

quote from last year's meet..
We need to be in position by 1030 so suggest meeting at the above venue (see previous post) for 0920 to arrive in convoy. There are wristbands, a green windscreen pass and a map of the site with instructions which I'll hand out there.
Assuming it may be the same this year, tbc

DIRECTIONS -
Thirlestane Castle, TD2 6RU, just south of Lauder.
Enter the site via the Eagle Gates on the B6362. If arriving from north. leave the A68 at Carfraemill and take the A697, then right on to the B6362 to avoid congestion in Lauder
(note change of approach from last year)
Please arrive by 10.30 so you can be in place before the public gates open at 11.00.
Entrants with yellow passes (us) will turn into the show ground before the castle (Gate F). Follow signs and marshals' directions to reach your parking area - Zone C1
Club entrants should park in our allocated zone, facing toward the public.
Once parked, drivers should come to the BVAC tent to sign in and collect their souvenir before 11.30. Wristbands will be issued so that anyone wishing to leave the site during the show can gain readmission.
Those in the group marked with * will meet up as described at 0915 for 0930 in my post of 9/5/18 in this thread. I'll hand out the paperwork there.
Alan_K and G_Man, do you want to join us in the convoy or do you have other plans? You'd need to have the admin mailed to you beforehand or you may have problems with entry.

I'm just gutted i denied El Bravo the chance to shine in the parade ring
( they eventually called for anything Italian lol)
I was too busy making sure I got front row for the dancing girls after,
Priorities lol
was last man standing when I left at 4 and yes road wasn't great and traffic wasn't moving much
Delayed my exit to have a 20 minute ride along in a early 90's Lotus
For £15 for charity which I thought was fair enough
Just made me more determined to get a turbo coupe
