Rich,
Sunday 3rd. For me too. Do we do individual or are we doing a club entry?

What’s the con-censers on individual and club, individual we’ll be down on the lawns with a mixture of different makes models years all around and we can go in together as we did last year. Or we’ll be on the hills with the clubs. I thought last year was quite nice with a different mix around us.

Personal choice would be on the lawn, we can still put flags up and create our own area.
Hill might be a problem if the weather isn't too good, particularly getting on and off.
If we meet as last year so we all go in together.

Will be there will be in the RCZR

Horsham Piazza Italia is no more, which is a shame as we always enjoyed it.

Ross organised a French car day last year in Horsham wonder if that will run again this year, just looked and yes it's running again in July so he's nicked the Italian day! wink Better get my entry for that in as and when.

Sunday for me then, as its on my doorstep

Shame about Horsham but surprised.

Looks like we need to look for alternative.

Re: Magnificent Motors - Eastbourne cancelled - 08/01/2020 23:27

Applied for Sunday.

Also gutted but not over- supposed at Horsham news. They appeared to be expanding the car themed weekends- French, German US and British. More likely Ferrari owners had had enough of their pride and joys being mauled by the proletariat? Or Premier GT not prepared to bank roll Horsham Council for their event ?

Sunday booked and confirmed. Shame about Horsham event but maybe Honington will be resurrected?
Posted By: Cooperman

Re: Magnificent Motors - Eastbourne cancelled - 10/01/2020 07:24

It seems Honnington is no more either as the site owners advise the condition of the country lane that accesses the site is in too poor a condition to allow the event to be held. Such a shame frown

Re: Magnificent Motors - Eastbourne cancelled - 10/01/2020 12:10

I cycle the lane on a regular basis it's falling apart again with subsidence and craters. Wouldn't fancy driving a supercar along it; road width is not suitable for a large volume event either

Now Cancelled

Re: Magnificent Motors - Eastbourne cancelled - 19/03/2020 16:13

I have just had an email from the organisers saying that the event is cancelled, they could not find a suitable alternative date this year so won't happen until 2021.

Unfortunately it comes as no surprise.

Shame but no surprise.

Just one of many cancellations there will be over the next few months.

Re: Magnificent Motors - Eastbourne cancelled - 19/03/2020 17:09

Maybe we should meet up anyway, if any public houses are allowed to open! Or arrange a nice driving route, I doubt any shows etc will be going ahead this year

Re: Magnificent Motors - Eastbourne cancelled - 20/03/2020 15:47

It would be nice to use the Coupe before the 'end of the world as we know it'. I remain unconvinced that we'll see any shows or trips this year. If the pubs haven't all been forced to close (...for ever!) then the Thought Police will probably have made driving anywhere without a pass totally illegal. If that does not come to pass then I would be delighted to go for a drive and have a picnic as long as we are all at least 3m apart! Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Re: Magnificent Motors - Eastbourne cancelled - 23/03/2020 19:53

I think you maybe correct! We’ll be lucky if we’re allowed to drive soon let allow park it, I’m wondering if it’s worth taxing it
Posted By: Serg1

Re: Magnificent Motors - Eastbourne cancelled - 23/03/2020 20:42

I've put off taxing until the situation improves.

As days go by moving around will become more difficult or even stopped completely.

Re: Magnificent Motors - Eastbourne cancelled - 23/03/2020 23:03

I had just taxed mine from the start of this month so I could get it to the Practical Classics show at the NEC. May put it back on SORN soon.

The X1/9 is still on SORN but from 1st April I will get it classed as a historic vehicle and get free tax. It was registered on 3rd January 1980 so very definitely made in 1979 thus over 40 years old.
