Should the 3 coupe meet up before we go in the grounds?

Re: Raby Castle - 03/07/2023 13:25

Meeting up would be great. I'm not travelling too far, so would be happy going a bit further to make it easier for you two.

Outside The Wheatsheaf Inn at Staindrop?

Weather looks a bit shaky but could all change in a few day's time smile

Weren't you there last year with your coupe Andy? And in fact you found my keys so if you don't mind I'll give them to you for safekeeping laugh

We could be lucky and miss the worse of them but have my waterproof just to be on the safe side thumb At least it will be bone dry getting on site.

Sorry Paul and Alan but I can't make it down today... Very disappointed. Hope you both have a great day.

Re: Raby Castle - 08/07/2023 08:06

That's a shame Brian frown

I reckon it's going to be a quiet event tbh. Been parked up at Staindrop for 15 mins and haven't seen any exotica go past..

Re: Raby Castle - 08/07/2023 16:33

Good Raby Castle weather news.

Wooly hats, mitts and skis were not required.

Otherwise, everything, sun tan lotion and raincoats !

Very quiet initially, but numbers picked up.

Three coupes, Alan, Phil and me with two grandsons.

Lots of interest from the other Italian car owners and general public.

My favourite car was a 1963 Fiat 500 in red. Not concourse but really lovely condition.

The Castle itself is very interesting. The boys enjoyed it so much that we went around twice.

Look forward to seeing you somewhere else Brian.

Re: Raby Castle - 08/07/2023 17:23

Hope you got to the party on time Paul?

Phil had another 16v so 10% of all 16v's in the UK were at the event. Good that Paul Ward complimented the 16v's - totally ignored the 20v wink

Journey back up the A1 was a breeze compared to yesterday's nightmare grr

Will be interesting so see if Raby is run next year though...

smile

Great to meet Paul and Alan in their Coupes with the great backdrop of Raby castle.

Re: Raby Castle - 09/07/2023 07:41

Hello Alan

At the prize giving, Auto Italia praised Raby greatly.

Later, I popped by their stand to thank them all. They again said nothing but praise Raby, cso who knows.

Two kids doing their best to damage car interior and exterior, by just being normal.
