Berkshire/South Bucks Lunch, Jan 6th anyone?

Berkshire/South Bucks Lunch, Jan 6th anyone? - 20/11/2006 22:07

Having crossed paths with a couple of guys around my area, I thought I would broach the idea of a meet up.

Before Chrimbo may be out, but no reason why not in the New Year.

Elder81 has a route, so any takers.

Sounds good I will be in the area around Christmas so count me in if it is after the 21st! I used to live in Burnham, now family lives in Beaconsfield.

It's funny how I'm from the Deep South, well Portsmouth, and are willing to come here. Great actually.

BTW what is the protocol here, am I allowed to PM people? I know there are about 4 guys who live within 15 mins of me.

Do you have an idea of location? I'll work out the distance and confirm is i can/cannot make it.

Might be a bit tight before Chris'nukkah though.

lilolee - I cant see a problem if you PM a few people for a local meet. Good man Phil, I might take the lead if we encounter some familiar roads - it will be a nice change for you to follow . I'll try and think of a good area for a nice country drive , although I am overseas from the 9-21 Dec so I might miss out.

Was gonna say Lee, prob best not to mention the Elder81 influence there, unless skidding about the lanes of Burnham Beeches appeals to the masses!! LOL

Yeah - certainly could do this! Hopefully i'll have got my car mapped and my tuning chapter on the coupe well and truly closed. (Well until it needs rebuild anyhow).

Excellent, can you give me an idea of the route? Burnham beeches is a disaster waiting to happen! That banking corner near to (what used to be) Henry's nightclub is an absolute deathtrap!

Burnham beeches is not a disaster, trust me! It is good fun, plus the route has changed a little since pooter visited a bucks berks meet!

Re: Berkshire/South Bucks Sunday Lunch anyone? - 21/11/2006 19:42

I will be intrigued to see the route. Just a bit concerned about the number of people you get walking in and around the twisty beeches on the weekends mate

Never been a problem before! lol! Although did get a letter of complaint from a Renault 21 Turbo owner that we did not hit his father in law!

Re: Berkshire/South Bucks Lunch 28th anyone? - 21/11/2006 20:35

TBH I actually thought about that horrible dead period between Christmas and New Year, 28th maybe.

We could look around for a place and book lunch (I'm an old man I have to book things ) or if there is only a max of 6 or so I could even cook up something.

That sort of time would be great for me.

I could be up for it, depending when it is.

I'm not keen on thrashing it round Burnham Beeches though. Too many potential targets to squash at weekends.

Re: Berkshire/South Bucks - 6th Jan 2007 - 31/12/2006 02:17

So is this going ahead then , and if so, who is actually coming along? It's only a week away, so not much time to get things finalised and drum up some more people to make it worth me getting the car out from under the car cover in it's nice warm garage !
