Re: Hampshire meet.. - 16/02/2006 05:12

I'm there ! Hopefully have the 3G discs, fast road pads and new front tyres on by then .

Any good pubs up there we could have lunch at rather than The Little Thief?

Paul, if you're not working do you fancy finding a more interesting rout rather than a boring plod up the M3?

Re: Hampshire meet.. - 16/02/2006 06:01

Damm would love to go to this, Any chance we could change it for the 12th ? after all what else is there to do on a sunday....

Andy, hows things? Long time no speak. If i make it you'll notice the difference in the coop - the Scottie that i got from you is gone and a sprint blue 20vt has replaced her........with 57i, Pace SMIC, Chargecooler, AVCR, Forge DV006, Gtech 1(.2) and UNICHIP....and UNICHIP remap on Wednesday.

Hopefully see you there.

Alan.

Hi Alan, I spotted the Avatar a while ago.. cool... you can take me through the bits.

I was thinking about a video drive-by on the A34 before doing lunch at the Little Chuf.

Re: Hampshire meet.. - 05/03/2006 17:39

I can confirm . The misses will not be available to come now but that just means 220bhp will be put down on the road without being told to act my age .
Paul & Mark, if your both still up for it, I might as well meat you near Southampton?
Adyr, still cant make it?

sounds good to me, where and when? The A3090 from Romsey to Winchester is more interesting than the M3, but i'm happy with whatever
Posted By: Anonymous

Re: Hampshire meet.. - 05/03/2006 22:25

Yep, i'm still in as long as the missus can wait to have the baby. No movement yet but i'll let you know if it kicks off in the meantime.

Re: Hampshire meet.. - 08/03/2006 00:53

That's cool Mark . I don't know any routs round there . Where do you want to meet up. I might as well come to you two.

Dingo do you have a time in mind when you want to see us all in the Tescos car park?

Adyr, you might be able to fit that 360? rear valance in your Chiq, someone might be intrested in it?
Posted By: Anonymous

Re: Hampshire meet.. - 08/03/2006 02:12

High noon unless my car can't get through its MOT.

There is a good little pub near The Little Chuff, should have enough parking.

So Tesco's @ J9 for 12:00, talk bollocks.. sorry technical for a while, fast pass to Sutton Scotney for lunch (outside if dry and warm-ish), hard pass down A30 working our way back to J9 (or anywhere else if anyone wants to come and play).

Re: Hampshire meet.. - 08/03/2006 19:02

I will be going from the Bournemouth area.

Might as well meet a few of you near Southampton for a blast up to J9

Re: Hampshire meet.. - 08/03/2006 20:19

What time is everyone getting to Tesco's?
Posted By: cooper

Re: Hampshire meet.. - 08/03/2006 20:27

12 is good for me
Posted By: OO7

Re: Hampshire meet.. - 09/03/2006 00:44

Julian it's looking like a 12 meet at Tesco's.

Paul, Mark, Kevin what time shall we meet up if we've gota be there for 12, 11o'clock or is that to earlly? Do we have a meeting point in/around Southampton?
Posted By: Anonymous

Re: Hampshire meet.. - 09/03/2006 01:00

well if anyone wants to meet me to go via the A3090 to winchester they are welcome. Looking at the map though it looks like the best route for people coming off the M27 would be Junction 3 then follow the signs to Romsey. We could meet in the car park for the Romsey Rapids then head off from there. It is a longer route mind, but more interesting than the M3. A good time to leave from there would be 11.30 i think.
Have a look at a map and tell me what y'all reckon
Posted By: OO7

Re: Hampshire meet.. - 09/03/2006 01:41

See you there at 11:30. Romsey Rapids
Posted By: cooper

Re: Hampshire meet.. - 09/03/2006 01:41

I'd rather meet at the same time in sainsburys next to the petrol garage then thrash it up the m27/m3.

If you would rather the long route, I'll meet you there

Re: Hampshire meet.. - 09/03/2006 03:24

Don't be late

PS I didn't see 007's post submitted a similar time to mine

Re: Hampshire meet.. - 10/03/2006 22:05

Mark & KBS, I'll see you at Romsey Rapids at 11:30 . PM sent with my mob number .

Cooper & others, I'll see you there (Tesco's, Winchester) round 12:00 .

I've just spent the afternoon cleaning my old header water tank, £15 I'll bring it with me if anyone wants.

Re: Hampshire meet.. - 10/03/2006 22:48

I'm cool!! - I think!

Fixed my compensator valve (with a lot of arsing about) but got there eventually. Fitted new handbrake cables and am now the proud owner of a new MOT.. ahhh!!

So.... Tesco @ 12:00 then set off down the A34.. trust me, I've been doing this for years and no-one's ever been hurt (much).

Ok turbo, radiator etc fitted but i've made plans to go out just after 1 as i thought the car would'nt be fixed yet, anyway i'll more than likley pop up to see you all at Winchester 12.00 to catch up, then nip off when you go for your hooooooon.

See you all there

Re: Hampshire meet.. - 11/03/2006 03:28

Don't mean to butt in on this thread, but do you guys know how big the car park is at Winchester Tescos ! Suggest that you all turn left into the slip road opposite the Tescos filling station and then left again into the car park. This is the quietest bit of the car park, and easiest to get to .

I might pop along for a look at your cars around 12, as I live locally and have to go to Halfords anyway, which is just over the road. There looks like being a few fellow Sprint Blues along .

We met here last summer and as highwayman says is an ideal spot. Cheers mate, this should have been mentioned earlier.

Great to meet you all today.

Had a great run to the pub. Poor little Saxo didn’t know what to do with 4 Coups around him!

Sorry we lost you Mark. Hope you had a good run home.

Look forward to the next get together.

Re: Hampshire meet.. - 11/03/2006 21:52

it always happens to me, either i get caught up behind slower traffic, or it looks like my exhaust is about to fall off, or like today, i stop for petrol and lose everyone! I should have paid more attention when andy said the route to take, instead of gazing at phils coupe!
anyway good to meet you all, can we do it again when it is a bit warmer?
Phil, i love your coupe, one hell of a machine. You should be proud

Re: Hampshire meet.. - 11/03/2006 22:04

Good to meet you all today. Maybe next time I will come along for the drive as well and show you some really good roads around here . My particular favourite is not far from where you were for lunch today, but it is too complicated to explain how to get to it if you don't know the area .

You'll be pleased to hear that I have fully functioning brake lights again, but some b*stard put a load of Meguiars polish and other bits in my Halfrauds basket while I wasn't looking . Oh well, I have a nice £10 voucher to spend now...

Re: Hampshire meet.. - 12/03/2006 00:17

Nice photo's Mark, I feel like my dirty old coop let the side down, I will make sur eI give her a clean for next time, also if I am kidless I will join in the drive, last summer was a real blast (apart from 5cylinder) obviously, which was the wrong sort of blast. I think I have my coop at just the right level of performance vs reliability, and the new racing clutch, although had its teething probs certianly gets the power through!
