you're only jealous
Dont see anything wrong, any coupe is welcome to attend evo has just highlighted that other LE owners might like to meet in one place.
Its not like you cant come along with your normal coupe

Re: Auto-Italia Brooklands 3rd May - LE Register M - 25/02/2008 16:53
Given that loads of other Coupe owners will be turning up to this as well and there is only an area for Coupes, you might want to contact the organisers if you want to arrange for the all the LEs to be together.
Otherwise you'll have to mix it with the hoi polloi

I have a dilema with this event. Turn up in the Coupe or Brava. Brava obviously goes with FiatBOO but the coop could either go with the coupes or with FiatBOO
Decisions decisions!

Quite right and the more the merrier - but I thought we cleared this one up when I was accused of being elitist last time round
This thread was an attempt to get as many LE owners together at the Auto Italia to put some faces to the names on the reg' and was never implied or intended to be either the main FCCUK Auto Italia thread, or make this an LE Event only. Apologies to anyone who got the wrong end of the stick.
Looking forward to seeing plenty examples of all versions, variants and their proud Owners (and hopefully weather like we had today!)

Initially the same decision for me - LE #105 or K200EVO (evo 1), but really looking forward to giving the Coupe a run and my brother will be following in his La Perla evo 2 (L200EVO) so I'll have an excuse to go and share a cucumber sarnie and a slice of battenberg with the left hookers anyway

Damn!! If only you had posted earlier - I've just got back from reserving
spaces ........
Hopefully, there will be a good turn out of all models, but hope even more so that we get some decent weather!
Been there a couple of times when its rained non-stop with the 'grale.
Long way to go for 2 or 3 hours sitting in the car with the wipers on, before someone plucks up the courage/gets hacked off enough to be the first to drive out and everyone follows!
Fingers crossed for some currant bun!

Will have to go easy on the beers me-thinks!
We will have to organise that Cambridge coupe get-together some time soon though, especially as there are a few other new coupe owners around here at the moment.

I would get there by about 10 am to be sure of getting into the Coupe area. At that time the past couple of years it probably took 10 minutes to get through the gates.
I'm hoping there will be no queue at 8:30.

Got the local handwash to do mine yesterday. So it peed it down, and the birds used it for target practice.
So it's ten past seven and I'm looking at a bucket of water... 'tain't gonna get polished though, my back's not up to it, I@m afraid. You'll just have to make do as it is.

Just got back after a great day out and the sun was shining the whole time.
I'm kinda new to coupe event thing and wanted to say thanks to Biggers and Barmybob for coming over and chatting, very friendly guys, and the donuts when down very nicely thank you Barmybob!

Great weather and yep, I got sunbronzed too
Hillclimb was a laugh although I was a bit nervous, especially when the AutoItalia photographer decided to join me! She was a bit frightened near the top because I left the braking ever so slightly late
and it's over before you know it. I did have pleasure of following the DeTomaso Pantera round the top of the ring though, that thing sounded
Cheers for the video John, I'll upload the in-car footage and my brother's tomorrow.
Cheers for the fccuk disc holder, I promise to join this week

Re: Auto-Italia Brooklands 3rd May - LE Register M - 04/05/2008 00:29
got back a couple of hours ago, just in time for a bbq
Thank you to Barmy and Boosted7 for coming over for a long chat making me feel welcome with what I guess was my first meet as a coupe owner
Sorry I didn't speak to any of the rest of you (very shy person :()
Just so you know who I was, I'm the poor sod in the yellow 20vt that the organisers sent the wrong way down a boggy dirt track which came out at the end of the FCCUK stand and then had everyone watching me trying not to catch my cada front bumper on the way in
heh.
Thank you for the tax disc holder also, guess it was a better choice to park with fccuk instead of the cheap seats (fiatboo)
See you all again soon.

Great effort on the test hill Webbo, I managed to get a couple of photos of your run so I'll post them soon.
Skate2create - no worries, it was nice to meet you, too bad you didn't manage to have a crack on the test hill! Next time mate.

No worries Neil, u did come stand next to my car at one point when we were sat in it and I remember telling wifey that I was pretty sure that it was you and the reason why you had a walking stick
speedy recovery fella.

Thats ok Dan, no need to apologise. Felt a bit sorry for you that it started smoking when you left, just hope the problem doesn't come back for you.
Apologies to everybody else there I didn't come and see, but hopefully I can make a couple more events over the summer and put a few more names to faces.
My little boy even enjoyed himself there which was a nice surprise as before we left that morning he was a little upset that he had to spend hours looking at cars. Well after yesterday I think he may turn out to be a piston head after all (and a draughs champ)!
Will also try to make more of an effort to post a little more often and join the fccuk club proper!

Hi All, back safe too - we went walkies and came back around 4:30, to find my car (Black LE J999 DBP) billy no-mates - you'd all gone home!
Concorde was brilliant, and we got talking to an old boy in the hangar whose life ambition was to finish restoring the Hurricane - fascinating!
Never mind, here's to next time - although I've promised my son we're doing the hill in the integrale next spring, but in the meantime, hope to see you all at the autumn Auto Italia day at Gaydon - and any South meets?
DBP
P.S. Thanks for tax disc holder - and HID link would be very nice!

Boosted7 & AlistairM - some very good pics, looking forward to the vids!
I'm still suffering from the sun and still have the appearance of a Lobster who forgot his welding goggles!
Nothing to blush about but this
is the nearest icon I can find to denote the burn - could have done with a nice FCCUK cap!
A nice wide peaked FCCUK cap (like the old michelin champions caps) with club logo on the front and a legionnaires neck cover (with the
pininfarina signature in the middle of that) would have saved me!

Alistairm - you saved my day!
Completely forgot to take a shot of mine - luckily you did (Coupes 4) - thanks very much!
Cheers to all for a great day
