Essex Coupe meet 26th October 2008

well ive been seeing loads of coupes pop up in the s.e spotted section and well i think its time we got together?

how does the halfway house pub on the a127 sounds and on a sunday afternoon?

anyone up for this, would be nice to meet you all!

Buggrit, I would have been up for this. I don't use the forum at all at weekends so I missed it. I'd definitely be up for a local meet though, the Halfway House is mere minutes from me

missed what?, not this weekend we can arange it for a weekend to suit everyone, and weather wont be a problem the pubs loverly and warm inside

There are a few more coop owners in the area that haven't been on much lately. I'll get in touch with a mate who knows them and see if they'll come too

Go for a McDonalds double sausage and egg McMuffin meal with pure orange mate. That'll fix any hangover. A bottle of Powerade also works miracles

This is an easy drive from Gillingham so i'll check with the wife later and be bold (and almost bald), and stick the her down (Chillabug) and tag along too. (Hope there's gonna be a 6spd Turbo Plus there for me to drool over / test drive)

Last spot was when you were heading along Laindon high Road towards the station on the RB. You and your passenger spotted me coming up to the same RB along Nicholas Lane.

My clutch is slipping badly now but it's still holding at 1 bar so I'll be there. I'm looking forward to this one as most attempted essex meets have fallen flat by now.

Someone asked me what "What goes on top of my washer bottle?" on the day. There's your answer

I drove past around 2.15pm and would've stopped had I not been in my girlfriend's Mini and needing to be somewhere. Looked like a good turnout

Certainly was a good turnout. Sometimes with this sort of thing the actual numbers are nothing like the original interst. Our first meet (me and Chillabug), Amanda got a bit too cold mid afternoon so we made a move as she's anaemic which doesn't help but we had a good time none the less - really nice bunch of people - pitty we didn't get to chat to everyone. Perhaps a Maidstone or Ashford, somewhere central in Kent but good for Essex peeps too would be good for the coastal peeps. Cheers for washer botle linky Trappy.
