Re: Auto Italia - 26/04/2006 00:18

What time is everyone going to get there for??
Is there an 'official' FCCUK presence there?
Posted By: Anonymous

Re: Auto Italia - 26/04/2006 00:46

as early as poss because as last year if you leave it to late you won't be able to get into the main site as it will be full.
I would think that i will get there for 9.30 - 10am.
I've seen a lay out somewhere, all the coupes will be together behind the ferraris (i think)
Posted By: PeteP

Re: Auto Italia - 26/04/2006 04:46

I hope to get there as well, but it will still have it's scraped rear bumper so won't be looking too smart.
Posted By: Anonymous

Re: Auto Italia - 26/04/2006 23:10

Awesome! I'll roll out of bed at 9.05 and be there at 9.15.

Whats this 'behind the ferrari' lark all about then?? Dont you mean they like the ferrari's to look good so they put us in the back drop

Re: Auto Italia - 27/04/2006 16:06

Re: Auto Italia - 28/04/2006 20:49

So basically looking at that map we are stuck around the back again behind the wood hangar thingys dont like it round there as not a lot of people (well that ive seen) go around there!
Better up near the test hill on the banking
Still cest la vie i suppose

Re: Auto Italia - 28/04/2006 22:28

Yes we should try and feedback to the organisers. If we turn up in numbers we may have some clout. I remember a few yrs back before I had the car, the coupes were closer to the action.

Re: Auto Italia - 29/04/2006 03:51

Right then see you all tomorrow
Rocker cover is back on but im not to sure about it.
I guess it'll probably grow on me, think it looks a bit gay at the moment with nothing else around it modified but when i get the purple samco hoses that should help

Cars Hoovered, coupe club tax disc holder is now installed just need to get up early (THATS THE HARD PART) and wash her

Link not working for me but I am assuming its a coupe... damn.... i wanted to see one go. I also wanted to have a bash myself, show them what light work 230 horses will make of it!

Anyone see the 500 with the trailer run the hill climb? It was worth getting out of bed just for that!

On a sadder note, I saw another Fiat (maybe a 850, or 650) that had caught fire just after leaving the museum before the roundabout.... looks they had been travelling with a fire extinguisher or it would have been game over.... sad to see though

Re: Auto Italia - 02/05/2006 04:42

In all fairness that twin engined alfa 164 would have put us all to shame. OMG that was fast off the line.

Fezza (355) also sounded great.

Re: Auto Italia - 02/05/2006 05:13

Yea the ferrari was an audible treat, was that 164 twin engined??

I thought it was fast!!

The Alfa has a V6 front and rear, each driving the respective axle.
The Ferrari sounded V nice, though it made me cringe on his second run when he reached the top bouncing off the rev-limiter

Re: Auto Italia - 08/05/2006 22:19

rmcfarlane it was a Fiat 500 was one of my mum and dads friends also aparently there was a Ferrari on fire too i am guessing a 360.

I REALLY enjoyed myself altho no-one took a picture of my car or indeed the frshly painted and panic-fitted rocker cover that i fitted on the Friday night
Ill have to post a pic later on as i cant get onto photo bucket at the mo

Re: Auto Italia - 09/05/2006 13:16

No i just removed it, degreased it and gave it to my bodyshop and they primed it and then sprayed it then let it bake in an oven so "hopefully" should last a while fingers x

Am very very chuffed with it but am just waiting now for the purple samco's be about a month then get those on and i dont think it'll look quite so gay! as they'll be something else "tarted up" under the bonnet.
