Hi, I live in Leicester and attended this event a couple of years ago, but fully intend to go this year. Thing is, do we go in the green Coupe, or the red Mito?! Either way, we're in an Italian car! By the way, what's the entrance fee this year, just so I've got the right money on me at the gate! (Or does my shiney FCCUK membership card get us in for nowt?!!)

There is an event in September, which will be all the magazines there, Porsche world, Ulitmate VW, Japanese Performace and Auto Italia, it will be at Windsor Racecourse

now this one sounds good and its not far from me .

I'll definitely be there this year, the coop will be back from Euroeast the week before and it's only half an hour from my house...so no excuse!

We had a few LE's at Brooklands.

Five Vinci's!

Though as of yet I have never seen every colour of LE next to each other, though I assume we may of been able to at Brooklands it just slipped my mind. Not sure if we had a steel and black LE.

If we could get it together for Stanford that would be good.

Yes I thought that was the case, but was not sure.

It required me to power up Core 4 and 7 of my brain and access information stored on disk.

Which as you can imagine was far too much effort.

The brain may have many cores but it is let down by the disk being vinyl, the mechanism being clockwork and all being connected by a bus that is sadly lacking in speed

Seems to be little information on the Auto Italia site about entrance cost / schedule etc. but I'll throw my hat into the ring and say I'll be in the LE and aiming to get there about 11'ish. IIRC from the National Alfa days held there they usually just send you to an area where fellow models are parking. Should be a good one.....fingers crossed for decent weather.

Hi all, we are going myself and my son but all we can bring is a photo. we are new to all this coupe stuff and been hanging around this great forum for a couple of weeks. I'm 56 and my son is 25, my wife and two son's bought me a p reg ink black coupe as a project car with a blown engine to tinker with!! but my son said don't worry dad I've bought you another scrap coupe with a good engine ( don't you just love your kids!! ) so at the moment we are just in the process of swopping them over.

Then would you believe it my son bought a w reg a week later and his mate got one a week after that, this all happened in four weeks. 1 from Wales, 2 from Exeter and one form London. My son and his mate have swapped a turbo on one car done two camb belt changes and i've just about got one engine out all done in the drive So the wife's renamed the house Coupe de ville?

Great cars in a great location. The UK’s finest Italian cars will once again be gathering at this stately home venue. Centrally located and with easy motorway access, Stanford Hall provides a lovely backdrop flanked by acres of well trimmed grass. As usual the special lawned area in front of the Hall has been set aside for the concours display that will once again feature the National Fiat and Abarth Concours, Lancias and other selected special cars. A substantial area has also been set aside to celebrate Alfa Romeo’s 100th anniversary. Visitors can expect see a strong turnout of Maseratis supported by Ferrari and Lamborghini supercars.

It would be nice if we could line our cars up from 16V n/a, 20V n/a, 20VT, LE & Plus (Plus being the last and best of course ) and do it by year of manufacture too, maybe something different to the other guy's turning up - Sort of evolution of the coop thing going on....

From past experience going to the National Alfa Days there it does not matter what time you turn up. Whatever you're in you'll be directed to the allocated area of the big fields that are there. I think the 10:30 thing only applies to the ones entered into the concours as they'll be in a central fenced off area in front of the hall like this:

I'll probably not be there until gone 11:00 at the earliest but a line-up by model sounds good to me

I think if we're doing a lineup as a way to show off the evolution of the coupe, only standard looking coupes should be allowed to participate in this particular display.

I guess that would count you out then Patch

If only 'strictly' standard coops were allowed Boosted, we'd end up with 1 or 2 on display.

Place a Coupé info card, A4 size, on the club website.

We could then all fill in, electronically, our Model type, modification details and extra info then print off and display the cards in the windscreen at Club Meets - events etc.

Perhaps too short notice for this weekend though

If & when you get involved with insurers make sure they pay out what the car is really worth. I was up at FCSS yesterday & Joe was telling me about a low mileage Turbo Plus that was written off. The insurers tried to pay out £2000 but Joe demonstrated by way of his specialist knowledge & current adverts for similar models that it was worth far more & they eventually paid out over £6 grand!

Don't let them pull a fast one on you mate! Good luck getting it sorted.

Took the car to thier 'nominated' garage which i was a bit sceptical about doing but all in all they seem to be a good one, and they said it shouldn't be a write off 'PHEW'
These insurance companys are all to eager to write stuff off.

A good panel beater will see her back to good health, think i just a bit of coop paranoia.

If that panel was behond repair then it would most certianly be a write off as it incorporates the roof.

When I arrived I was regretting not taking a jacket. It was nice to meet up again with one particular Red LE and its keepers It has been a good few years since I last saw the car and it was good to still see it on its special plate, thought it could do with having its bonnet painting

It was so nice to catch up with everyone and meet a few new faces too. It was a pity the fellow who had just bought his Coupé didn’t manage to bring it and it was also a shame that the Lime Green Coupé didn’t make it. If I missed or blanked anyone I do apologize. I do tend to be easily distracted at meets

Antony (Boosted7) and I had an interesting drive home in the rain. It has been a long time since I have driven in rain that hard

Great day out! Very good luck with the weather in the end too I thought - it was mostly dry (at least from 12.00 onwards when I was there). The rain driving home was positively biblical!!

Nice to see a few people I hadn't seen since the AGM (Mario, Marco) & meet more Coop drivers & of course great to see those Coopsters that I see a bit more often!

It was a good day indeed, happy to meet up again with friends old and new.

A pity about the weather; particularly as 110 miles further south it was hot and sunny most of the day. The rain arrived at home about 3 hours after me.

Probably not since you experienced a summer storm in Brisbane!

It was great to catch up with you lot too, and especially Barmybob for singling us out to say hello and welcome us - really was a great start to a fab day.
