It's a late '99 onwards 20v turbo with 6 speed gearbox, as opposed to the early '99 and before models which had the 5 speed box.

Good mileage ,whats its history?

Bought in 2006 with 27k off a customer, likely forum member (Colin Adams). Done the usual 350bhp mods in 2007 and done 9k since. It's been stored for a while as I've been working away a lot. Just got it back on the road after servicing, belts, tyres etc, couple of issues to sort (thermostat, gesrbox seals) other than that all is good, forgot how fast and fun it is.

Not an addition. Just to let everyone know the transfer of the VT6 previously owned by Liam Gill to me.

Hmmmm....I never put my Ink Black VT6 on here. Bought as a Cat C, with very little nearside damage (wishbone, wing, wheel and tyre), back in July 2013, with around 76,000 miles on the clock, if I remember correctly.

Sent it up to Joe at FCSS, to be rescued from break into parts hell. The car was far too nice. Very smooth engine and very much pampered by it's previous owner for over 10 years. A garaged weekend car.

Joe did all the repairs, together with a host of other stuff, including cambelt and much more. Was fantastic for 2 years and up to 89,000 miles, until oil cooler pipe failure and seized engine.

Full circle and back with Joe to be rescued a second time, with replacement low miles (56k I think) engine and a load more, like new oil cooler, oil cooler pipes, clutch, cambelt and so on.

Should be done soon. Can't wait as I haven't driven a Coupé since I sold my yellow plus back in early December.

I believe VT6s may be rarer than pluses or LEs, for what it's worth.

FWIW my old one is still around somewhere as I've just checked.
On 94k when I sold in Feb 2010 and was then sold on with a circa 25k replacement engine. Moon Grey W reg, now on SORN somewhere.

I've seen one reg x464 dmw, if anyone recognises that?

Mine is going strong. Sprint blue 81,000 miles. How many are there?

Bought a high mileage wine red VT6 on a bit of a whim in 2016.

Found a huge file of receipts tucked under the boot carpet, this car has had serious money spent on it over the years, including a full top and bottom end rebuild in 2014 and gearbox rebuild.


Exceptionally clean interior and the quietest 20vt engine I've ever heard running. Happy days.

Any other wine red 6s out there? Seems like the reds and broomies are the rarest!
